Latu Fainu #282

I hate to be the one to break it to you but if you're in your sixties, you're not approaching, you have arrived at your destination.
In Queensland "Serious assault on a person over 60" is a special category that recognizes the "vulnerability and potential harm elderly individuals may face".
Time to live every day like it could be your last and enjoy every sunrise you old fart/coot.
Well, I don't know what I said to you to get your back up, guessing your age is beyond young, dumb and full of crap.

Have been very fit all my life and at the moment still doing 10km hikes 3 days a week after weight training, so I suggest you shut your trap and don't poke the bear.

Mate you need to relax a bit.
Not everything in life is serious.
But on the serious side, if you're in your sixties like me, and taking waking up every morning for granted, not making the most of every moment, you're really doing yourself a huge disservice.
Your destination may be closer than it appears in the mirror.

Go play with your grandkids and leave the internet arguments for the youngsters.
I’m doin fine brother, enjoying life to the max ! And I’m well past my sixties !

Yeah …it is …probably not a word the youngies know ..

Takes me back to that movie from the late 70s - Airplane, where the two black dudes are talking to each other and some old white woman gets up and says ..I can speak jive …

Here it is here if anyone in interested …

What an interesting historical document you have provided for the youngsters.

Can Benji please put a stop to the stupid tackle thing he does where he gets so low/does not use arms and we get penalised. I reckon he's done it 4 times in the last year.

So penalised 4 times for what? What is the rule that has been broken?

We looked a whole lot better in the 2nd half when he came on, dont know if it was all due to him but we were putting a bit of pressure back on the dogs

Fox commentator said Marshall at half time wasnt happy with all the one out stuff in the first 40...make of this what you will

I would be very careful on the length and value of the next contract we are apparently negotiating with Latu. We already have him under contract for 2027. I am one of his biggest fans but his body and tackling technique keep letting him down.

It's really hard to keep up enthusiasm for Latu. Sure, Benji has misused him, playing short minutes out of position.

But his constant hamstring injuries and his poor tackling technique look like combining through suspension and injury to missing the last 6 rounds of the season. Just when we need him to replace Doueihi.

That means in 3 seasons he'll have played just 35 games. Remembering that before the 2025 season he was sanctioned by the club for turning up out of shape after the pre season.

Latu is up for offers on the open market in November along with brother Samuela if Tigers don't extend them before then. Is he worth it? Do we have to keep him to keep Sam?

He’s still a very young player, five years off his best for your average halfback. Hopefully this is the off-season he gets it all together.
