OFFICIAL Latu Fainu #282

Its good to hear that its not as bad as first thought...but i saw him at full time on the sideline his left arm just hanging limply as they all congratulated each other.
Its a real concern....i though he looked pretty good for his 15 mins.
Fearless in defense but maybe thats his.problem needs to be taught better technique to preserve himself, he doesnt shy away from anything.
Hope he actually is ok and its not just PR
The front on hit he put on KPP was a beauty

The vultures attacking poor old Latu
Let’s see how it pans out, don’t assume the worst and let’s not throw him to the kerb
I’m still optimistic he’s a big upgrade in our halves in 2027 🙏🏼
No one's is after him but there is a time when one must understand being a very very good Fantasyland player and a real player

I personally think it's he's diet and he eats lots of Sh!t and it just effects him with inflammation and promotes injury some people can not do it lots of soft tissue injuries and joints like an old man or he is some Type of Benjamin Button 🔘 🔘 🔘

Or Benji and his shoulders. Was still playing in his mid 30s
That was different. Benji’s issue was 100% his tackling technique. He used to go into tackles, flinging his arms behind him leaving his shoulders exposed. It wasn’t due to his body not being brittle. Latu just can’t seem to handle any kind of contact.

Injury wise he reminds me very much of Scott Prince who was another talented half who was invariably injured before he came here. That turned out good for us and i honestly believe Latu will as well, patience and not a knee jerk reaction is required as he is still young.
Think everything said by the fan Latu would have said to himself x100. Have to be mentally pretty tough to keep picking yourself back up.

Hes still a kid, still think things will come good for him assuming he tunes out the noise and has good people around him.

He was completely mis managed last year. He should have spent the year in cup playing in the halves with Andrews. Would have allowed his body to heal and get decent conditioning as well as honing his craft plus building his confidence.

Instead we sat him on the pine for most of the year giving him little to no game time and what game time he got was in every position except the one he has played his entire life.

Effectively 26 was a waste for him and he will start 27 in the same place and condition....

It's not the kids fault, it's the piss poor way the club has managed his development.....

I honestly rate his as a player like I think the majority do.

I fear the spread of injuries. Thumb and shoulder fit with his aggressive but loose defensive style.

The pec strain definitely hit a nerve with me as it felt like more evidence of a body or conditioning issue. I get pecs can be freak, but we all know some people have the body for NRL and some people don’t.

His hamstrings have been the long term reoccurring issue. He desperately needs an injury free offseason to get his hammy flexibility and strength back. Three years in a row with hammy issues is pretty serious.

Straining his hammy late this year (round he was due to return from suspension) is a red flag for me.
