One positive from the night and what a shame he got injured.

How this guy has ever been behind Daniel Fitzhenry and Beau Ryan and to a lesser extent Brown and Daniella is beyond me.

If he was fit and any man in this world could justify Beau Ryan over him next week if Mckinnon was back id give it away.

A very good debut I think.

I was at the game and he just sort of fell over in golden point. Was limping pretty badly - hopefully cramp but he was grabbing at his foot

Hes not a god sent but he made better metres than any of our back 5\. And when you get a guy his size and his leg speed making good metres it means the next hitup can be good and the one after that..etc.

I thought he played great and attention mr Sheens we have a few more more as good in the state cup who do show great pride in the jersey not like some of those so called first graders tonight and i dont mean Fitzhenry

Latu was like a breath of fresh air - ran at line with pace and enthusiasm, unlike most of the team!

Solid debut tonight. Not a speedster but hit the line hard and fights hard in the tackle which makes him an effective tackle breaker. Hope the injury isn't serious as I'd keep him in FG ahead of Ryan based on tonight's performance.

Where did he come from?

Souths.

He was down for what looked like about 2 tackles, the play and I guess all trainers eyes were on the other side of the field

It should only take a couple of weeks before the hitting the line hard and straight part is coached out of him.

He was great tonight.

Thought that he was very good on debut and was, along with Lawrence the best of our backline. Although I love Beau I think that this kid has alot more potential then him. Doubt we'll see him again this year though as it seemed like the injury he picked up will put him out for at least a couple of weeks.

showed plenty of ticker. ran hard, fast, straight and made plenty of metres as a result. simple really!

sure did. give him another run if not ruled out with injury.
very angry/dissapointed that Lote and Beau did not show the same, enthusiasim. :smiling_imp: :imp:

Not really sure how much talent he has,& same goes for Mitch Brown, but at least they run hard & straight & dont just capitulate at the feet of the first tackler in the interest of self preservation like Ryan & Fitzhenry.
I cant believe the latter two have 1st grade contracts..no other non Sheens coached club wld employ them

Latu is far too slow to be a good first grade winger. Has a bit of size which he uses well to his advantage, but not a first grader for mine.
When Beau Ryan gifted Souths that try after saving a 40/20, Latu showed no urgency whatsoever to get back and help. He was well in front of the Souths players, but decided to take a casual jog, hopefully a valuable lesson for the future.

I thought he wasnt great but he was good .Souths kid on debut gets a hatrick and wins them the game , our boy gets injured .. ah well as many mentioned he did try and ran straight and hard unlike Lote who goes around in circles 1st..
Lote thinks he is only built for attack , he has forgotten how to defend.. Think he is got too settled , needs a wake up call …

With a little TLC he could be another TNT, I wasn't aware that he had already made his debut for Souths under the name Huihaha, the Foxsports commentators made mention that he took the name Latu from his adoptive parents.
