LAWRENCE: ‘I’M THE FITTEST I’VE BEEN IN THREE YEARS’

Rowdy will come good again. He never fit in with Potter's flat, direct playing style. He had some shockers last year but wasn't the only one. Helpful that Anasta has gone and we'll have a 6 this year who can rack up a few try and line break assists.

Rowdy is done…hasn't earnt his salary in years

Yeah he has. He's a good player, he's a good pro, no bubbling, no tatt sleeves, local lad, played for his country, turns up at community events, not a sook about the coach\club. Its hard enough to come back from multiple injuries while the club is doing well let alone with the downturn we've had on and off the pitch.

Not on the field he hasn't. He is barely a first grader these days.

Its good to hear he supports the club so well of the field. Give him a job there.

Let's just wait and see - as Willow has said, we'll know soon enough. I wish him all the best.

Wouldnt it be great to see him come back to the form that got hima roo jumper. As Bon said it has been sad to see his fall from grace over the last three years …...... lets wish him well in the new season.

No doubt he hasn't been the player he was before his hip injury. They problems I have with people saying to get rid of him is the loyalty he has shown the club, he lives and breathes this club. I know that Rugby League is a business these days but this is a guy who at the time of signing this contract had well and truly earnt it. No one a the time question his resigning. Now after signing that contract he suffered a horrific injury, well lets not be like other clubs and supporters and pay a guy who was injured while representing you and your club. Hopefully he will repay that loyalty with a return to form.

"He will come good" - I've heard this for the last three years.

There is no question of getting rid of him. He is signed until the end of 2016 on a handy contract. The question which may gain momentum during this coming season is will his form warrant his continuous selection in first grade.

Players who have been down on form for a extended period of time for what ever reason seldom if ever reinvent themself. Love to see him prove me wrong, but just can not see it happening.

I suppose if Moses creates some space for him things might get better, I just have my doubts he has the speed to cash in on anything that is created for him.

Man peeps are tough on Lawrence.

Id like to see how Reg Gasnier would go one one leg with a wonky shoulder and Braith Anasta providing the balls.

To give him credit, Simon, the one thing Braith did have was balls!

Bang on, he has played busted for 2 years because of our shocking injury record, the bloke showed more guts then 90% of his team mates, hope you kill it Rowdy, you deserve it.
And $330K or there abouts is not a lot these days, so all this waste of money thing is not really relevant these days.

Stryker,I have given Rowdy many a serve over the years and he has kept giving to the club…albeit you and others bag the s..t out of him....If you had to overcome the extreme difficulties that he has had, that is,near career ending injuries and still fronting up and giving, I reckon you would have given up...not Rowdy,he still wants to give because the club has given to him,he is an honourable athlete ......

Unless you have walked in his shoes, then you best not criticise...

I think reports on Lawrence's poor form were greatly exaggerated.

Alot of the defensive issues that were attributed to Lawrence were caused inside him or earlier in the set. Wingers and Centres often look at fault with an up and in defense (which most sides run these days) regardless of how it happens.

Im hoping he will do a decent job this year.

Yes and No Goose

You attack a particular side consistently for a reason

In todays game when teams go wide , your 2 in and 3 in are crucial , they sent the tone for what will happen

Rowdy makes a few defensive fubars a game , that is why teams attack us on that side

His other issue is he needs to make a dominant tackle when he comes out of the line , if not they just hit where he should be on the line next tackle

In the modern game there is nowhere to hide

It must be nearly February. People are getting excited about Lawrence.

Have a good look at some of the speed, size and skills of the young centres going around. They can palm, step, kick, pass. They can combine fancy football with power. You can't teach an old dog new tricks.

Lawrence might be not that old, however he has been around a while and he has not got any new skills since he was 21.He is considerably slower, has a suicide passing game, can't step, can't read defence, has awful lateral speed and he can't kick. Guys like Walker, Gaigai will run rings around him

I don't care that he is fully fit I will call it now he will be a failure and a problem again this season in my opinion.

He will kill it this year. He had one shoulder last year and was running off aanasta. This year he will be running into holes from moses and brooks. U watch him go.
