Lee Hagipantelis

Bit thin skinned of Lee, he want's to be a public figure yet does not want the commentary that comes with it.
He really needs to be either the chairman or the major sponsor, i really hate that he's both he has us by the short and curly's.
Commentary is one thing. Telling defamatory falsehoods about a guy who runs a law firm is stupid and could lose your house.

I agree with most that it's frustrating how Lee cannot stay out of the media. We didn't need a story like this, just makes us even more laughable.

In saying that, I can acknowledge Rob and the hosts on WestsLife should learn more professionalism. As one of the two popular Tiger focused podcasts (and i regularly listen to both) the way they present/opinions they give (right or wrong) are a representation of our fan base whether we like it or not. Quite often their entire pod is just swearing, making personal comments and insulting the club - which they're entitled to make, but should be delivered in a more discussion based way. Saying "f**k this, f**k that, hes a P*ick, f**k him off" for an hour straight every week says more about yourself than the people you're talking about. As fans its great to listen to a rant every now and then, but they can be pretty relentless in their views being the only view. Think they would do better in discussing a topic, playing devils advocate more and trying to debate both sides of a story...

anyways my two cents, think Lee over exaggerated but he has a history with not getting on with Rob and that pod for the above reasons
He has a problem with that pod because they don't give him any chupa chups.

Im not 8 years old worrying about what my mother thinks i'm listening to. As a big boy my opinion is they dont swear and go after the Tiger back office muppets enough. Needs to be 4 to 5 x 2hr weekly shows of bagging the shift out of the halfwits.........and the enabling accepting mediocre fans like yourself.

That same guy with the law firm that folded faster than a lawn chair when he pretended in front of the cameras for the attention he was going to sue the NRL over the cowboys game and did nothing?

Exposure works. It's as effective as advertising

are other plaintiff legal firms doing similar? Im not looking to argue for the sake of it… but most marketing I have seen with similar firms involves a lot more talkative ads on the late morning Today shows where the firms phone number is plastered everywhere and they go on about injuries etc

Yeah fair call but i still think its thin skinned of the guy, he has more important things on his plate than a fans podcast. Look at the amount of people just on here that bag the bloke, is he going to sue everybody here on twitter ect ect

if I was one of his prospective clients … looking at his head isnt gunna convince me to ring him and take a third of my Workers Comp settlement

We’re not talking the top end of town type law firm here. Lee would target the % of the population who do not already have access to or experience with the law outside a speeding fine. The ideal customer base for him would be blue collar workers in manufacturing /trades that would be exposed to workplace negligence, accidents, repetitive stress injuries etc..

Eg:

Bill looses his thumb at the chicken processing plant because Bob bypassed a safety switch, Bill’s wife says he should sue. Bill calls the only law firm he knows cause it happens to be plastered over his footy jersey.

There is a reason the hat sponsors multiple sporting teams and not take out full page ads in The Economist. He knows his target audience and he knows what they watch.

I agree he probably should just ignore it but equally I can understand you’d be a bit annoyed if they’re suggesting you’re some sort of weirdo.

Sounds like the only falsehood was a poor joke about offering a lollipop? Which was linked to

Not funny but I see the semblance he was getting at? Is that it? The chair of the club threaten to sue some of the last few rusted on fans because of that? Cool.

I love the Westslife podcast. Rob has every right to smash in to this poorly run club. I support both him and Josh 100%. I'm sure they now understand they went a little overboard and will learn from it. This doesn't mean they should ease up on the current state of this club though.

They suggested he was offering Moses a lift everyday and that he was treating Moses like a 16 year old kid. LH says that’s false. One of them then says he’s creepy. Just because you’re a rusted on fan doesn’t mean you can make up stories about people on your podcast or defame them.

So Lee didn’t offer to drive Moses ever day to training in his Ferrari?
