Lee & JP finally lose the confidence of the Board??

Am I the only one that finds it murky/ deceptive that the person conducting the review's existing connection to the club wasn't made clear and announced at the commencement of the review?

There are plenty of consultants on the attached list which specialise in governance reviews. If this is an independent review, why wasn't one of these consultants engaged for the purpose.

Whatever anyone thinks of Lee, a successful wealthy lawyer proprietor of a successful law firm that has been a passionate Wests and Wests Tigers fan for decades is just going to walk out after pumping 10 million large into the club is seriously misguided.

Think of the possible reputational damage to him and his firm as this plays out in the media.

It may also lessen his passion for the club.

What of Api who recently resigned with these guys.

What of Benji and John Morris.

We are not the Broncos with an untouchable identity whereby the total management, ownership and board could be replaced......and no one would hardly notice.

Our club is a delicate balance of old and new fans of different parent clubs.

If this doesn't get of the press quickly it's all downhill.
It's all downhill?? What hill are you standing on?

We're in the gutter! There's no hill to go down, this club is in the worst position imaginable. Lee has been overseeing this entire shitshow and yet he thinks because he invests his money he has every right to run the club?

"It may also lessen his passion for the club." Well I bloody well hope so, he take his passion and go and support another club who wants to held to ransom by their major sponsor.

Our identity is the laughing stock of the NRL and nothing is going to change next year or the year after. Look at Bula, he tried to get a clause in the contract getting him out of the 4th year if we don't make the finals and they rejected it because they very well know that this club is going nowhere anytime soon. Any decent club would let a young player full of potential leave after suffering through that shit and let them at least have a chance of a career..

And of course this will play out in the media, do you really think that Lee isn't behind most of the articles being written about the club to try and scare supporters into thinking we'll be worse if he leaves. It's clearly become untenable for him and I'll sit back and enjoy his reputation being dragged through the mud over the next few weeks, hopefully the truth is buried in there somewhere.

Top end talent?
How ever you want to word it, but sure you've noticed that we are getting players from certain player managers we were not getting before. Top end talent for wests tigers given the poor quality of players we have had the past 10 years.

Then people at our club should let the review take it's course and not play it out in the media.

A review isn't an unusual practice. This is only an issue because people in our club have decided to play it out in the media before the review is even completed
But didn't you and Joel make a point of of media involvement to promote your review you initiated?

Segments of the media with certain gripes against our club seemed to give it airplay.

It makes them a party to this.

It is an absolute BS article. Riccio is quickly rising the ranks to join Hooper amongst the worst journos in NRL.

As @cochise said, reviews are good practice and everyone should let it play out for the betterment of the club.

I'm sure Benji wants what is best for the club's long-term future. Riccio's theme in this story is that we should continue with the status quo at boardroom & admin level and enjoy another decade of failure. What a goose!

In your opinion would you say it’s a possibility the review outcome may conclude to advise that Yes it’s quite obvious the majority of Wests Tigers fans are very unhappy with the teams lack of on field success during the control of our current chairman, board and CEO.
Yes they have made a lot of bad decisions and outlandish statements that have got the majority of Wests Tigers fans offside.
But it is currently in the best interests of the club to have stability, therefore recommend they be given until the end of 2025 to show a dramatic improvement in the on field results on the condition they publicly apologise to the fans for past lack of success and misdemeanours and publicly state they will stand down if the on field results do not dramatically improve by the end of the 2025 season.

They were giddy with delight every time they got in the real media.
The hypocrisy is breathtaking.

It's not an independent review though. The reviewer is NOT independent.
It's not what it was stated to be.
It's a fluff piece with a predesignated conclusion.

There's two issues here.

1. Corporate structure
2. Footy operations

When you say we are in the gutter sure it can be agreed to point 1.

Point 2 though there are many that feel footy operations were finally getting on track this year.

How so?
- John Morris is a good appointment
- pathways seem like they are going on the right track
- scott fulton is strengthening recruitment and connections with influential player managers
- we have secured a number of good young upcoming players to the club

There's a few examples of decent football operations.

Now you can't just just label the club without proper consideration.

If the key football operations staff and stake holders, like players, coaches and player managers, who mind you signed deals recently with the current corporate structure. They're entitled to be unhappy with the club if they are happy to have people there the board are now trying to have removed.

Starting a petition because Lee and Justin cannot stick to a plan, and wanting Lee and Justin to be removed, is causing the same issue the petition is trying to fix.

Uniting on the current path the club are on its the core issue for the club now.

The key players are benji, Fulton, Morris and the players they should be kept happy.
