There's two issues here.
1. Corporate structure
2. Footy operations
When you say we are in the gutter sure it can be agreed to point 1.
Point 2 though there are many that feel footy operations were finally getting on track this year.
How so?
- John Morris is a good appointment
- pathways seem like they are going on the right track
- scott fulton is strengthening recruitment and connections with influential player managers
- we have secured a number of good young upcoming players to the club
There's a few examples of decent football operations.
Now you can't just just label the club without proper consideration.
If the key football operations staff and stake holders, like players, coaches and player managers, who mind you signed deals recently with the current corporate structure. They're entitled to be unhappy with the club if they are happy to have people there the board are now trying to have removed.
Starting a petition because Lee and Justin cannot stick to a plan, and wanting Lee and Justin to be removed, is causing the same issue the petition is trying to fix.
Uniting on the current path the club are on its the core issue for the club now.
The key players are benji, Fulton, Morris and the players they should be kept happy.
There are many that feel that footy operations were finally getting back on track this year? Really??
John Morris - time will tell
Pathways are going well - agreed
Scott Fulton - signed the Fainu bro's and who else? He signed Kelma Tuilagi for Manly! The bloke is a grub who rubs people up the wrong way including our head coach, one could make a strong case that he weakens recruitment.
Secured good young and up and coming players to the club - once again the Fainu bro's and a bunch of Manly juniors. Warren McDonnell did all of the hard work in regards to the pathways and people want to give credit to Fulton?
Do you really think players and player managers give a toss about the 'corporate structure' at the club? Players wouldn't have a clue who is on the board and they couldn't care less if Lee goes. It's actually laughable saying that players would leave over this. They care about who the coach is and who their teammates are and that's it.
Getting rid of Lee and Pascoe won't fix anything? We need to unite the club on its current path?
What is our current path? I'd honestly like to know. Apart from being a circus of a club that plays out each and every issue through the media, whilst ensuring that we miss the finals every year, whilst deflecting blame on to coaches/players (who they appoint) all to ensure that the board remains the same I really don't know.
Compare our club to Penrith. Look at their club as a whole, culture, squad, coaches etc and then look at the Tigers. You're kidding yourself if you can't see that we're lightyears away as long as these clowns are kept in charge.
Key players are Benji, Fulton and Morris - two of the big 3 key players hate each other! How can you recruit when the head coach and recruitment officer have completely different ideas.
Burn the whole thing to the ground and start again.
