Lee & JP finally lose the confidence of the Board??

But let's
Governance .

Apologies for highlighting that word in your original post.

But see to even question a clubs governance when it is chaired by a CEO of a law firm can be seen by some that proper process was not followed which is very problematic for a practitioner of the law who happens to be a passionate supporter and sponsor..

I have nothing but faith in Lee regards procedural practice,
Financially Lee is good. Get rich quick. Capitalise. If you build it they will come. Liverpool.

Guys how about we deal with the fact that an independent review is being conducted by two professionals in this regard. And a set of recommendations will be delivered to HBG to help the club produce better outcomes across the business. We can debate about the reviewers, who is being consulted & media leaks BUT we can’t change that. We just need to let it play out & believe that key recommendations will be considered & implemented without bias and personal agenda. And a lot of the crap we’ve had to put up with for the past 10 years will be changed for the good.

A review isn't an unusual practice. This is only an issue because people in our club have decided to play it out in the media before the review is even completed
It's very unusual when initiated by a section of the fan base calling for a review of all aspects of the club with the involvement of some sections of the media.

It would have been better if you just called a review of Justin and Lee for example or perhaps recruitment.

Despite your best intentions with the way the media is reporting on it it just throws shade on the whole club.

Governance encompasses the system by which an organisation is controlled and operates, and the mechanisms by which it, and its people, are held to account. Ethics, risk management, compliance and administration are all elements of governance.

It’s nice to have a lawyer be chairman of our club and I’m sure he is as you mentioned all over the correct legislative requirements of procedural conduct but I’m yet to see he knows how to or instruct others how to a operate a football club.
I think you’re nit picking at one term and generalising to make a point but yeah, I believe our governance needs a bit of work or at least needs to be clear in how it is structured.

There's two issues here.

1. Corporate structure
2. Footy operations

When you say we are in the gutter sure it can be agreed to point 1.

Point 2 though there are many that feel footy operations were finally getting on track this year.

How so?
- John Morris is a good appointment
- pathways seem like they are going on the right track
- scott fulton is strengthening recruitment and connections with influential player managers
- we have secured a number of good young upcoming players to the club

There's a few examples of decent football operations.

Now you can't just just label the club without proper consideration.

If the key football operations staff and stake holders, like players, coaches and player managers, who mind you signed deals recently with the current corporate structure. They're entitled to be unhappy with the club if they are happy to have people there the board are now trying to have removed.

Starting a petition because Lee and Justin cannot stick to a plan, and wanting Lee and Justin to be removed, is causing the same issue the petition is trying to fix.

Uniting on the current path the club are on its the core issue for the club now.

The key players are benji, Fulton, Morris and the players they should be kept happy.

There are many that feel that footy operations were finally getting back on track this year? Really??

John Morris - time will tell

Pathways are going well - agreed

Scott Fulton - signed the Fainu bro's and who else? He signed Kelma Tuilagi for Manly! The bloke is a grub who rubs people up the wrong way including our head coach, one could make a strong case that he weakens recruitment.

Secured good young and up and coming players to the club - once again the Fainu bro's and a bunch of Manly juniors. Warren McDonnell did all of the hard work in regards to the pathways and people want to give credit to Fulton?

Do you really think players and player managers give a toss about the 'corporate structure' at the club? Players wouldn't have a clue who is on the board and they couldn't care less if Lee goes. It's actually laughable saying that players would leave over this. They care about who the coach is and who their teammates are and that's it.

Getting rid of Lee and Pascoe won't fix anything? We need to unite the club on its current path?

What is our current path? I'd honestly like to know. Apart from being a circus of a club that plays out each and every issue through the media, whilst ensuring that we miss the finals every year, whilst deflecting blame on to coaches/players (who they appoint) all to ensure that the board remains the same I really don't know.

Compare our club to Penrith. Look at their club as a whole, culture, squad, coaches etc and then look at the Tigers. You're kidding yourself if you can't see that we're lightyears away as long as these clowns are kept in charge.

Key players are Benji, Fulton and Morris - two of the big 3 key players hate each other! How can you recruit when the head coach and recruitment officer have completely different ideas.

Burn the whole thing to the ground and start again.

Riccio’s article was pathetic. he’s pro-Lee because that’s clearly where he can get his quotes from. the entire admin needs a cleanout, not just Pascoe and Lee. hopefully that takes place post review.

It's not that simple.

I wouldn't want to piss off the player managers and Fulton if I was the club.

Piss off the people that don't matter.

Fulton and Marshall, player managers and the players themselves stand to benefit from a strong administration and board. we don’t have that, and the review could change that.

Thanks for clarifying.

It wouldn't be what the majority of the fan base wants however.

I've heard McDonnell did sweet nothing.

Recruitment and coaching was a mess this year. Guys like latu fainu simply do not come to WT without fulton.

I feel you are letting a personal dislike for fulton overtake your view as you haven't given fulton 1 full season before taking the knives out.

Giving how dominated the NRL is with player managers I would rather have a fulton in my cornerner. Especially when you're the WT and haven't put a decent team together nice 2011.

What about if they feel strongly about having Lee there?

Guys like Fulton, tartek, once you're in their crew they seem to run in a very loyal manner.
