Lee & JP finally lose the confidence of the Board??

Governance .

Apologies for highlighting that word in your original post.

But see to even question a clubs governance when it is chaired by a CEO of a law firm can be seen by some that proper process was not followed which is very problematic for a practitioner of the law who happens to be a passionate supporter and sponsor..

I have nothing but faith in Lee regards procedural practice,
Did you have faith in him when he and his partner were found guilty
of professional misconduct?
Again avoiding his responsibilties and throwing junior colleagues under the bus

The 2 points each week would help, but the Board and CEO don’t miss any tackles, drop any balls or give away any penalties.
The club is finally heading in a good direction, now is not the time for change.
Review should be done at the end of 2024 and if there is no indication of a major improvement in the on field results, then sweeping the broom through management would be vindicated.
Always next year

We have run dead last over the last two years & have showed no signs of improving. Out of our last 100 games we’ve only won 27 of them…. 27 !!! We as fans have been dealing with mediocrity for far too long & the fans have every right to demand change. The fans aren’t volunteering themselves onto the board or wanting to apply to be CEO or Chair all we want is change. Pascoe has overseen mediocrity since 2015 & Lee can’t get over the sound of his own voice whilst constantly shooting himself & the club in the foot.

How are we supposed to believe anything these guys say in terms of the future when all we’ve been is lied to from the guys above? how are people quick to forget that it was these guys who sabotaged our season this year?
We were mediocre before Justin and Lee. That means middle of the pack. Now we’re just plain shithouse.

Common sense says someone should come out and state we are giving the current board, the current CEO, the current coaching staff all of 2024 and 2025 to show if they can have the on field results heading in the right direction which would mean either making the top 8 or very close to making the top 8, playing an attractive style of football that gives the fans hope and retaining all players that will be crucial to the teams success moving forward.
If that does not eventuate the entire board, CEO and coaching staff should walk.
Get real. Why excuse all the other years?
Just pom-pom waving BS.

"Common sense" is demonstrably uncommon to some....

Bula did not re-sign to play under the CEO or Chairman!!

He wants to play for the coach and club that gave him the opportunity!!

Pascoe and "Hagi" are VERY replaceable!!

Anyone have the article?
More long lunch crew News Limited shit!!

Dave Riccio this time... wondering where he will find his "exclusive" leaks if these duds are gone!!

“If you start listening to the fans, it won’t be long until you are sitting next to them.”
It’s long been Wayne Bennett’s favourite catchphrase.

Given Bennett’s standing as one of rugby league’s greatest-ever coaches, it makes complete sense then, that key members of the worst performing NRL club over the past-12 years have turned to finding a way forward by taking advice from podcasters and supporters from the hill.

If it’s even possible, the Wests Tigers as an organisation have reached an all-time low, thanks to a collection of suits that make up the club’s majority owners, the Holman Barnes Group, (formerly known as Wests Ashfield) who are hiding behind a petition signed by no less than 2,000 fans.

The petition has triggered an independent review which is currently underway and is designed to lift the bonnet on the club’s governance and operations.

It is yet to be confirmed if the findings will ever be made public, which is important, as it would then allow the rest of the game to find out how it is that a podcaster knows what an elite-level performing NRL club looks like.

It’s worth noting also, politicians, journalists, player agents and staff will also be interviewed.

The review has been brought upon to create change at the Wests Tigers, namely by removing the two constants at the club, chairman Lee Hagipantelis and CEO Justin Pascoe.

Boardroom politics often prompts the eyes of punters to glaze over and in desperate need for a Bex and a good lie down.

However, this one will have a lasting impact on the footy field. The Tigers, not the Dragons, should be wooden-spoon favourites for 2024 after this.

Those who have penned their signatures have little clue as to how much damage they’re doing ahead of Benji Marshall’s rookie season.

A fan protest calls for the sacking of CEO Justin Pascoe.

The youngest coach in the NRL next year is said to be filthy. He knows what success looks like and this surely isn’t it.

To pinch a quote from yet another super coach, this time Jack Gibson, “winning starts in the front office.”

What should be the most important pre-season of Marshall’s career, which is underpinned by solidarity and unity, is now being railroaded by a boardroom Civil War.

The damage, both for Marshall and his ability to coach without a summer of distracting headlines, in addition to the club’s hopes of recruiting new talent while retaining their own, is untold.

This morning, Tigers fans will wake to the news that Junior Blues halfback Alex Conti is off to the Bulldogs. It’s just the beginning.

It’s any wonder Marshall’s manager Matt Desira was one of the first to call Hagipantelis out of concern last Thursday.

Next on the phone from the US was Mario Tartak.

He is the agent of Tigers 2024 starting halfback, former Dragons playmaker Jayden Sullivan, and the club’s most prized recruits, Latu and Samuela Fainu.

The trio had taken deals with the Tigers in the belief that under Marshall and a heavily-invested Hagipantelis, the club had moved past troubled times.

Prop Stefano Utoikamanu has a clause in his 2024 contract that allows him to leave if the Wests Tigers miss the finals next season.

What’s the point? Let him go now.

The determinations of the review are unlikely to be detailed before December, right when Marshall is in the middle of his important pre-season.

In the meantime, Hagipantelis is standing firm after it was voted unanimously that he continue as a director and chair for a further three years by both the Balmain and Wests Magpies directors of the joint-venture club last month.

The twist came when he was recently asked to stand down by Holman Barnes Group representative Tony Andreacchio.

Andreacchio and the HBG feel betrayed that news of Hagipantelis’ extension as chair went public while the review was still ongoing. Did they seriously think it would remain quiet for three months?
Pascoe will be interviewed for the sake of the review next week.

It will be the CEO’s word against a podcaster.

Only in Tiger Town.

As stated in David Rocco’s article this morning, the club needs solidarity at the moment to hopefully keep the key players coming off contract and allow Benji and opportunity to build the roster he wants.
Upheaval and change will only damage the chances of key players staying and will not allow Benji a fair chance to build a roster he’s happy with.

I've been calling for Pascoe to go since he backed JT over Farah - very much against the pack!

And I gave Lee a chance - but he f%$d it by retaining Pascoe and for all the pathetic decision making eer since!!

Grow a brain - watch the quality of our footy program & not just flog over a picture of the Zurich Centre long term rental!

What have these pricks achieved?

This is NOT Balmain Vs Wests!! Balmain has one Board member - it is Wests who are starting to question this look-at-me stooge!

Why should "Hagi" (as per ignorant clown-speak) be entitled to a paid Director position that effectively offsets & re-routes Brydens sponsorship contribution to Lee personally when he just abuses the position and makes decisions beyond the Chairman role that detrimentally impact the football department??

That is why a financial audit is critical!!

Now FTHK OFF @Vicious !!
I was under the impression that there is not renumeration for being on a sporting board.
I’m sure I remember Marina Go state that she didn’t get paid to do the role.
