Lee & JP finally lose the confidence of the Board??

YES - most of them are public knowledge!!

The Chairman literally overruled the coach (Madge) and football department to ensure we retained David Nofoaluma on a ridiculous salary (after Madge dropped him to reggies) - because David was his daughter's favourite player and visited her in hospital is just one!

But it is one of the most over-reaching and egregious abuse of power I have seen - interfering in the football department which represents our core business and having a long term negative impact on the football team!

Using his staus at the club to undermine the football department (and screwing both our roster balance and salary cap along the way) for what is tantamount to nepotism is so far beyond his remit as Chairman - and on that alone Lee proved to be unfit for the role!
If it’s fact I would agree with your opinion.

💯 no due diligence.
Getting your ideas on who should be your next coach from corrupt and ignorant News Ltd f-wits like Rothfield - Read and Carayannis over a long boozy lunch paid via Wests Tigers corporate card just proves the reactivity and lack of sound judgement that has characterised Pascoe and Lee's tenure!

They haven't done due diligence on the credibility of the treacherous pricks they take to lunch - let alone the coach's recent record!

Rothfield had a typical verbal brain-fart - that turned into the Sheens-Marshall 5-year plan...

But we are lucky we could expedite the Sheens-Marshall transition according to Lee - because we're ahead of our KPIs/milestones apparently???

Again if what you are stating is factual, it’s very hard to disagree with your opinion.
But isn’t this independent review basing their findings off conversations with journalists with agendas, disgruntled ex employees and podcasters who are more interested in sipping lattes than actually watching football games ?

I don't listen to podcasts or gossip - or relay supposition!

They are talking to everyone, the reason you speak to journalists , is you find out what the people in charge are like to deal with in a professional environment. It is also allows you to determine who the people are leaking information to the media.

Like most long time supporters I hold a dim view of the previous internal "independent" reviews (Brian Smith etc)!

They were evidently based on the PWC-style audit model - where the findings are pre-determined internally with an "independent party" paid handsomely to provide a narrative and rubber stamp what the Board told them to find.

I believe the key to this review lies in the genuine arms length "independence" from the WT Board as per below:

Andreacchio declined to discuss his correspondence with Hagipantelis or other directors, pointing to the importance of the review currently being undertaken by Barnier and former NRL chief financial officer Tony Crawford.

“This review is critical,” Andreacchio said. “I don’t want anything to hijack it by public commentary out there. What we are trying to achieve is a truly independent review that we can consider to make sure moving forward the Wests Tigers become successful.

“It’s the first truly independent review that we haven’t had our fingers all over. It might take a few weeks or months but it won’t be clouded by innuendo or commentary.”

I have found Gary Barnier to be pretty impressive and doing this to try and improve the club.

Maybe I should've replied earlier.

Read another post of yours on that you stated from memory that Barnier intervied you and your podcast partner for 5 hours?

Now people talk about an independent review without a predetermined outcome without preconditions but it doesn't sound like this is the case.

For starters why should your opinion be sought? Your only stated intention was for anindependent review of the club. Sounds like if you were interviewed your opinions re the direction of the club be sought. Don't think you made that clear prior to people signing your petition. Secondly, you and your podcast partner are only two of many supporters......why shouldn't other fans opinions be sought including those who didn't sign the petition?

Secondly you mentioned in another post that all aspects of the club are poor.

This is clearly not the case, especially since the club is performing well financially as well in marketing and laterly with the COE.

I read about O'Farrell and Coates. Why will they bring success on the field for the club.....and perhaps the club will loose valuable sponsorships.

Sounds a bit like a everything has been predetermined.
