Lee & JP finally lose the confidence of the Board??

Technically this will be Benji’s second year as head coach but the club didn’t have the balls to admit it.
You would have to think Api is quite happy with Benji as a coach and can see the potential of the on field results improving dramatically, otherwise he would not of extended his contract with us as I’m sure he does not want to finish off his career with a club constantly stuck on or near the bottom of the ladder.

Not at all. 100% fact, reported annually

The Wests Tigers are not WA/HBG. Every year WA/HBG provides a grant to WT. In 2022 it was $1,747,718.00. $0.00 comes back the other way. Wests Tigers are a net loss to WA/HBG and they need to be legally otherwise they would lose their valuable Club tax status.

Im not going to argue with you as im not privy to the latest figures…

I see they made a modest profit in 2018…but maybe things have changed … although I hear Pascoe has been bragging in recent times about the financials of the team..

Was a director of the Newcastle Knights for a short period and was CEO of the Australian Turf Club.
So the answer's no then.
If the problem we're trying to fix is financial then sure he's a great choice, but aren't we trying to fix a losing football team problem?
If that's true then I'll repeat that it should've been a Peter Parr type who would know the right questions to ask and more importantly the right people to ask them of.

A question…Is the outcome of he review already pre determined?
By process of elimination the club has already ruled out the problem being the players, coaches, performance staff, GM, marketing guy, etc. etc.

Why do the people they sack always sign a non-disclosure clause preventing them speaking? What’s that all about? Seems like a good place to start a review!

So you have shifted the goal posts from wanting someone with sporting administration experience, when presented with that it is invalid because you now want someone with experience fixing a losing football team.

Interesting as I know someone who worked quite closely with him at the ATC and they just told me they believe he would be the perfect person to conduct a review of a sporting organisation.
I knew his name from somewhere and only just realised he worked at the ATC.

Mate you are talking about two different things. you are talking about Wests Tigers making a profit. That profit includes a grant from WA/HBG.

I am talking about the fact that WT are a net loss, every year for WA/HBG. I am pointing that out in response to Tucker saying that WT and its fans are a cash cow for WA/HBG. WA/HBG dont make any money out of WT, its the opposite, they are a net loss for WA/HBG every year. In 2022 it was $1,747,718.00.

Maybe not a cash cow but clubs have an obligation to give funds to the community or they can no longer operate. If they don’t give that money to WT they have to give it to someone else. Maybe they’re considering that!

You're playing with words.
I've always wanted someone with experience in the day to day operations of a winning sporting club.
I think I've been pretty clear about that. I mentioned Collingwood and St Helens previously.
If you've never been involved in the admin. of a winning club how would you even know what to look for.
The money man for the NRL doesn't qualify in that regard. He has no relevant experience in my opinion.

Lol, so you’re not qualified enough to do the review but you are qualified enough to determine who isn’t qualified to do the review.

Move over @Vicious, we have a new contender for silliest poster!

The Wests Tigers do not fulfill the Community grants requirement of the Clubs license because they are a (supposedly) professional organisation. WA/HBG need to be granting money to community and other local sporting clubs which they do. WA/HBG 2022 overall grant spend was around $3.8M, the money to WT was about half of that.

Does anyone know if the Wests Tigers constitution or corp governance statement is available online? I can’t find it from my searches.

Good overview of ownership structure is at:

You're getting quite worked up... Take it easy
I've been an obsessive fan since I was a little kid, so having next year stolen for no other reason than self promotion probably does have me a bit worked up.
Some of us don't have that many next year's left to be able to afford having them stolen.
