We have had these defeats under previous coaches. Maguire got attacked for yelling at them at half time Benji gets attacked for being a rookie. The losses occur every year when the depth is tested and it's clear the season is cooked. We gave away players mid season to stronger clubs the last two years and soon after we suffer a major thrashing. I'm convinced it destroys morale - who is a better position this week by letting Simpkin go us or him?
The strength of any club is in its depth and ours is reflective of our position. We can't improve if we don't strengthen the squad. For every player we recruit we continue to lose decent ones to other teams.

100% agree. A few weeks ago Richo said we will add some experience to our Cup side to help the young blokes coming through. Sounded great but the same week we released the most experienced Cup player we had. It’s actually diabolical how they lack vision with our depth.

Bemji didn't show much discipline as a player. He was always rocks and diamonds. He was lucky to be surrounded by other players who kept their eyes on him and made him look more diamond than rock. He appears to coach the same way

The frustration and ill discipline we are seeing on the field when things go bad is directly related to the coach... They don't know what to do when things get tough, no one has shown them

This is how it is. Benji, I love the guy and always will. But he’s a career loser, and he isn’t a goddamn coach. He has a ton of charisma, and he draws players, but how long is that going to last? Once opposition players see how he inept we are, not even his personality will draw players. We are screwed if Richo doesn’t bite the bullet. If he doesn’t, he’s no better than Pascoe and co.

Agreed he needs help and the coaching staff he has now is not helping anything. Aye to Richo biting the billet.

He signed Luai. No doubt due to his personality and charisma. Didn’t hurt that Luai idolised him growing up either. HOWEVER, personality and charisma will only take him so far if he can’t show his ability as a tactician.

Nothing , but let’s give him a chance to see what he can do , before we go into meltdown mode. We all wanted Josh morris as coach and he’s sitting in the box with him. Get Brad Arthur in there as another assistant if we need to.

Im with you, it’s unacceptable. But I don’t think sacking the coach is the answer mate. I think we need to keep clearing the deadwood, we have some guns coming next year, and we have some great young players who will have 20-30 games under their belt. If by this time next year things haven’t changed then I’m all for giving him a tap on the shoulder . But now would be irrational.

I disagree. This was the first time the team just threw the towel in. And we were leading at half time. That’s why I’m upset with the coach. Most games I’ve felt we’ve fought hard despite the score line.
