Let's not give up on 2017

On the back of Steve Mascord's article in the SMH, I wish all the focus can be shifted back to this year.

I dont care about what happens next year or the year after, I dont know about you guys but I'm sick of the short term pain attitude. We can't keep rebuilding from the group up every 2 years.

We as fans are only fuelling the media article by constantly talking about this.

Let's forget about next year, I want to concentrate on this week and this year. Moses, Teddy, Woods, Brooks no matter what are finishing off their 2017 seasons with us and they have a lot to play for.

There are 21 other players in the squad who deserve better and thousands of fans who deserve better too.
 
Brooks has booked his seat on the bus. Let's just pray he doesn't sleep the whole way!
Would love to be optimistuc about our prospects for this season but IMO it looks pretty bleak. The way those 3 mercenaries have dogged it on the club and left in an undignified way has left a rotten taste in many supporters mouths that will just get more bitter with every loss.
Hard to be a committed team when 3 of your 17 have basically said our team is not good enough for them, the y want to play with better players elsewhere. You wouldn't imagine team harmony would be at its best in our club and that is the one thing you need above all else in order to achieve success ie: top 8.
2016 - Unite. Commit. Achieve
2017 - Divide. Procrastinate. Flounder
 
To be completely honest, I don't care if we lose every other game this season. Can't support scums, not going to go out of my way to watch the games. I made myself unavailable to work every sunday because that is when most our games fall this year, i'll now be working sundays.

I don't care what anyone on here has to say, questioning my 'love' for the club.

I am a tiger through and through but are we really supporting the tigers when we have arrogant selfish flogs out on the field donning our jersey? Thankfully Origin is just around the corner, I'll be at the game when Tedesco and Woods aren't playing.

I tend to agree Milky. I just cannot support these 3 knobs!!
 
While they wear our colours I will support them. Next year I won't give a rats about them.

I can understand people's frustration but to call them scum is immature and irrational.

On Another note, I find it unbelievable that other supporters are saying things just as distasteful about our club.

Cleary once again is showing his class by not taking the captaincy off Woods. He is obviously thinking that would be another negative for the team. Will Woods show the same class and resign the captaincy? Time will tell.
 
I'd watch them being dropped off in a North Korean nuclear test zone (except hopefully the bomb works this time). Apart from that I don't ever want to see the traitorous scum ever again in my life.
 
People saying they won't go to games or support the TEAM cause of 3 players??… What about Nofa? What about Brooks? Or ET? Lawro ? Sue? Mcillwrick? Nah they don't deserve support...
 
Don't want the Spoon so keep picking the best 17 for now.
If/when we can't make the finals flick Woods as captain & start him off the bench.

IMO Woods should man up & offer to resign as captain now.
His inflated ego dwarfs his talent.
He does not possess the spirit & qualities needed to pull on the the mighty Tigers jumper.
 
I understand that people are upset, and the 3 departing players haven't done themselves any favours but I am looking forward to seeing what changes Cleary starts to make this year. If we can win a few on the trot we'll start thinking finals again. A win tomorrow is the start of the charge

Obviously will support the team but geez it will be hard to be happy with those 3 for the rest of the year
 
im not asking anyone to show loyalty to the club or be a "good fan"

just want the focus back on the footy, back on this year. if you don't care about this year, then come back next year, stop taking the focus away from the present.

that's what everyone wants- believe it or not, woods/moses/teddy are probably sick of hearing about it too. they like playing footy, so do the other 14.
 
Im happy actually. Its sorted.

Three guys have chosen to move on, and thats fine. Their attitude has disappointed me, especially Tedesco, because the thought of watching him come through as a young guy to know has sort of reignited my excitement for the game. My 13yo daughter has been introduced to the Tigers because of him in the laast few years. She is shattered too.

But we move on. I still love my jersey collection, and ill still fight to the death in any discussion when someone bags my Wests Tigers team.

Our time will come. Any genuine supporter of Wests, Balmain, or now oir joint club ahs learned to deal with disappointment, loss, adversity over many years.
 
I think I will put protective netting in front of the TV tomorrow. You know, just in case I get the urge to throw something.
 
As long as they put in I'll support them - they will have points to prove.

The second that effort drops though…..
 
I wouldn't hold out hope for making the finals this year but, yeah it would be nice to shift focus back to this year. Let's just try and get as many wins as we can.
 
the 3 grubs have killed any hope of a 1/2 decent season. I want to blame them , but I still feel the board lead by that Muppet M/S GO have to take the blame for what has happened, JT has stuffed us, but still can not blame it all on him. the board should have putted JT at the end of last year.
 
Wests tigers CAN STILL have a very good season.
Whether the 3 players who are moving on WANT to, only time will tell…
I hope they really dig in and have a go, yet I wouldn't be surprised if they get " niggly injuries" which require time on the sidelines.. seen it happen before this season.. :unamused:
