Can not play in the semis with the game being produced from this key position. Isolating the contribution that this position can produce and comparing it overall to some of the dummy halves going around, we would have to be close to the worst.
It is very disappointing because Liddle has some great qualities and potential, but he just isn’t producing enough or delivering for long enough in a game.

No but did play 60 straight. Gets asked to do too much defence.

I would love a Smith/Radley type that could start at hooker and then play in the middle.

I noticed that again there were metres plenty for the dogs up the middle when he was off.

Good for 15 minutes, then gasses. After that, his passing gets sloppy and he stops running. After 35 minutes, his defence falls apart. After 55 minutes he's cooked and a complete liability.

Liddle was great for a while. But he’s last couple of weeks have been terrible. I also blame madge who just cannot seem to adjust to how players are going and not putting Simpkin on the bench.

Simpkin needs time physically. The club knows he’s the future and we are going nowhere this year. We have a lack of quality depth at the club which has to be fixed.

I don't think the problem is he gets gassed and can't tackle. I think he's tackling more than he should because we have some slow, inexperienced and lazy middles who are happy for him to make first contact - this is why he gets gassed.

He started well and did nicely to set up the first try. Madge knows he can't play 80 minutes and it was fairly apparent there was going to be a change with Cini on the bench.

I thought Mbye was really average at 9. He runs at the wrong time, throws poor balls and doesn't make contact as well as Liddle. Mbye is not the answer at 9. If we need to rest Liddle I'd be giving Simpkins another go with the knowledge he'll probably only be good for 30 minutes.

I'm prepared for the club to cut their losses on him. As Hobbo said, chuck a million at Harry. Make an offer he can't refuse. I can't imagine Melbourne paying him, Hughes, Pappy and Munster all close to a million when they still have NAS, Bromwich 1 & 2, possibly the Cheese and Welch who would all command good money too.

I don't know what Liddle is on (say $300k), do you believe Grant will make a $700k difference to us?

I just think, we have other priorities than a 9 atm.
