You need a genuine half guiding you around. Brooks played all bar a couple of minutes today and the shape of our attack was so much better then yesterday. The most pleasing thing though was the effort. The scramble to stop the brocncos try just before halftime was great to see. No way that happened yesterday. Well done to everyone on the effort.

Imagine how good we would be in the 13 man game if we let Brooks play both sides of the ruck & run the game like this! One of the biggest hand-breaks Taylor puts on our halves is making them play left & right. They have the ability & experience playing with each other to play as genuine first & second receiver & I think this game (even though it's 9s) has showed how good we could be with Brooks in total control.

I dont care what format. It could be 3 a side. Or a pass the ball through the hole competition like they used to have on rex mossops league show all those years back. Beating the broncos is the best.

They may float around occasionally, but the structure set up has Brooks pretty much always on the left of the ruck & Moses pretty much always on the right of the ruck. Check out their highlights from last year & it's quite clear.

Brooks looks set for a good year. Being showcased in the 9s in this game won't do any harm to his contract value.
