LIVE game discussion. Tigers Team Vs Penrith - Trial#2

Overall it was a promising match. Our youngsters did well and looked better than our opponents youngsters due the second week in a row. Madden is really shown how much he's grown and in my view he undoubtedly the best halfback at the club. Javon keeps coming up with quality attacking plays which is promising...
Our top squad couldn't quite keep up with theirs for the whole first half, but there's no surprise given their quality. We weren't full strength either though, so overall a promising match and result

We lead post contact meters and allowed one panthers tackle in our 20 just minutes into the 2nd half I saw on Fox. Don't know how you think we were dominated in the first half.

Sheens was the coach.

One of those guys that played for Australia but never played Origin.

Pathetic
He was about to get selected for origin but got injured

What an incredible gun and his speed and power and change direction at speed

Will never forget the the 8th wonder try burning Billy Slater and Billy had electric speed so fast off the mark and Chris just hit the afterburners

I’m not worried about fullback.
Right centre though…AD may end up back out there.
That whole right edge was pretty ordinary. Admittedly KPP will replace Seyfarth which will help but i wasn't impressed with either Toa or Turuva. Turuva does take the hard hitups but so do most wingers these days. His height is a major concern> Penrith targeted him with their kicks and Jenkins had a field day coming over the top of him on several occasions one that almost led to a try.

Thought he was well of the mark , looked like he didn’t want to be there , we will fine out where his head is now that bird has gone .
He signs for us , or he goes to the dark side
I've always thought Bula is a loyal character, with a personality that makes him popular in a team environment, and a cornerstone on which to build a very good team. The absence of news about his contract imo is a good sign.

I am genuinely interested in this bloke.
He is a real threat in the red zone and we haven’t had a half like that since coach was running round
Agreed. Awesome as Mak was, it was Javon that had me tossing and turning, dreaming of what could be.

You can tell he’s got genuine class just by the way he moves. He’s already a better ball player than Luai and AD and he looks physically ready.

I feel like we might need to find a spot for him sooner than later.

37 pages of praise for what was a defining win is great to see. Apart from the first couple where we were down by 4 and the doom sayers lit up.
And as a collective, we ain't finished talking these trials games up. There's still heaps of mates we ain't seen yet, and they need to know just how good our team is gonna be this season.
Everything that all of you have said is spot on . . . I'll add just one thing. Line speed in D.
We have never had it, but for at least 25 minutes while the big boys were on it was there.
Bunty seemed to be the ring leader . . . can't wait till he gets Hunty alongside him.
Every year, we say how great it is to see then new players making a difference, and how we think we'll go well this season. And every year, we end up facing reality. Every February, every September.
Here we go again. But this time it really feels different. Honestly.
Lap it up brothers. This weekend at least, strut, don't walk. Nod knowingly to your rooster and panther mates. Heck, nod at all them bastards that don't support us.

Alex Twal was leading it too. He was awesome.
