Jennings needs time in ISP or moved back to the wing as far as I am concerned. Haven’t been impressed with him at centre.
 
Michael Cheekam had the best game I've ever seen him play, maybe he would be better in the centres, he has footwork , speed and size.
 
I had my first bet of the year on the game last night. $2.70 was too good to turn down and I thought we definitely had a chance.

I didn’t watch the game but wifey said they tackled well again. Madge has added to what Cleary started on our D.

I've read others saying the same, but i had to put my cents worth in - without naming names, I absolutely love the emotion shown by Maguire (Cheek's try for example)
I know everyone shows emotions differently, both internally and externally, but finally we have a Coach that "seems" to be emotionally involved with the club/team and their performance, and not just a win/loss job.
I know at the end of the day he a professional coach and will go wherever; Mags just seems to want it as bad as us poor long suffering supporters.

He did exactly that which Bird was waiting for as he ran across the other half dozen or so players before him, when all he had to do was maintain a straight line and force Bird into a decision.

I feel Madge could create a bit of a dynasty with this club, be here for a decade. He is a very skilled coach, astute. I believe we are entering a period we have missed for so long and that’s being a consistent finals team. There will still be a fair turnover of players in the next 2 years but all for the better.
 
Lot of blown chances by both sides but the key for me was our defence in the 5 minutes before our first try

Kept us in the game …..love seeing us hang tough and hang in

Great point Happy. I always felt we were pretty committed at that period. I was a little concerned that we might fall back to old habits and let the flood gates open, but the boys turned up constantly, had a little luck and frustrated the opposition. That's what good teams do. I think we might be almost heading towards being considered a good team rather than an also ran in the eyes of non supporters.
 
Just got home from Brissy. My best mate and I went to the game. Best game i've been to( we normally Lose) But being a Queensland Tigers fan. That was like a Grand Final win.:smiley: 😛artying_face: We celebrated till 4am and lost track at how many times we yelled "STFU" to all those Donkey fans at the game. So,so good.:+1:
 
Don't lose any sleep over it. It's just one random internet persons opinion. You either agree or you don't.
Everyone had their take on what's best for the team. That's what makes the forum interesting. If we all agreed it would be a very dull place.
