Love reading the live game thread after a win!!
Great being at Leichhardt tonight - awesome victory and most complete performance I can remember for a long time. Packer was brilliant especially first 25 minutes. So was Aloiai.
I haven’t heard fox or 9 commentary but I will add that in the 30 minutes from Leichhardt to home after the game 2GB did not say one positive thing about the Tigers. Not one. Best part of tonight - zero points against. Also, amazing what happens when you cut out the unforced errors.
So now pleeeaassee Tigers: follow this up with another clinical performance next week.

Channel nine were no better. All about how had the broncos were. It should have been a celebration of the tigers keeping a team to zero for the first time since 2012 while scoring 48. Our forwards monstered them and they give the MAN of the match to Payne hass, that says it all.

Wasn't motm..
???
Vb hard earned hard worker ?

And....your point is??? Glad that made you laugh so hard.

Our forward pack monstered theirs, and the one award they give out in recognition that night goes to a bronco.

I was angry about it at first as well until I saw highlights of the game and realised that Haas was most likely the hardest working out there last night because he was the only player in the Broncos team making metres and defending, the only one actually doing anything to stem the onslaught! Honestly, those tries we scored were soft as, I don’t think any of our guys had to work real hard to win tbh, and we actually worked as a team, so it somehow makes sense that Haas playing as a one man band would be the hardest working player. I believe Eiso got the same award in our loss against Souths the previous week.

I thought Haas was fantastic in a badly beaten team. But definitely thought Alioia deserved it more then he did.

I’ve just watched it again and that play by Isaako on Benji’s 40/20 might be the single worst effort of the year.
1. He let the ball bounce out before attempting to batt it back in
2. His foot was a metre out so even if the ball didn’t bounce out it still would have been a 40/20
3. He batted it forward so it still would have been a knock on

I’m pretty sure that if he did 2 and 3 it would have been a scrum feed to them.

Saw Blake Ferguson do it one game.

For 2, no because he would have made it dead - it would still be a 40/20 because the kick went into touch. At best he forces a scrum for going into touch. And 3 would be our feed for a knock on.

I don’t know what Ferguson did. The tactic of putting a foot out has benefits in certain cases (in goal to force a 20m restart or for a kick going out. I can’t see how you get an advantage doing it on a 40/20 kick.

We need to put this game into perspective. We punished a side that is playing like reserve graders. We haven't beaten any top 8 teams yet.

Looking at the ladder predictor on NRL.com, we need to win 6 more games to make it and even then we might just miss out.

I think we can knock off:

1. Warriors
2. Bulldogs
3. Manly

We then need to pick up 3 wins from the below teams.

Parramatta x 2
Knights
Roosters
Penrith
Rabbitohs
Melbourne

Knights, Roosters, Rabbits.

Lock 'em in Eddie

He plays for Parra ...you could murder someone on field and it would be play on if you wear the Eels colours in 2020

Blake Ferguson's one, I thought was on the fly and off a kick off?

No it was to combat a 40/20 attempt.
He watched it go close to the line then had his foot out and swatted it out over the side line.
The team though you beauty Blake’s taken that into touch but the ref/commentary’s mentioned that’s a smart move by Ferguson, that will be a scrum feed to the defending team.

Depends which Tigers team turns up...Parra is a massive test and I'm looking forward to it. Those guys got ambushed by Manly and we can play a similar style.

If we knock off Parra, I'll tip us for 6th...

I think that was Tesi Niu.

They are twins.

Fergo may have put the ball into touch short of the 20.

There's no way to nullify a 40/20 by voluntarily putting it into touch after the 20 m. Tedesco did it the other week to force the ball into touch, rather than try and pick it up and be bundled into touch. More wingers should do this rather than dive on the football.

re the media and folks complaining about lack of Tigers respect, what I will say is on Ch 9 Phil Gould did first mention the Tigers, when asked "how would Seibold fix this", Gould says "well first let's respect the Tigers and how well they played".

Probably the only commentator I noticed who made that point first.
