Sorry but im not backing down on Luke Brooks fans. The guy just doesnt do enough for our team for people to support him like they do.

I have to disagree , he sparked our revival in the first half , and again in the second . His punch as well as his pickup for the try ,really lifted the team. Also he once again was making the right play at the right time .
He wasn’t the one who lost us the game tonight . He want to play the percentages down and he left. I’m not sure how you don’t see that ?

The guy is slower than a 2 legged horse. No pace at all, needs to be taken to the glue factory. OR bulk up 10KG muscle and play 2nd row.

He didn't come up playing centre, he's still learning. If the coach backs him, then so will I.

We didn't lose the game in the last 3 minutes, we lost it in the first 20. We just showed enough grit to get close. A great effort especially with 2 players in the bin and a couple of rookies on one side.

You may be right, but the fact is we still had a chance to win it with 3 minutes to go and we burned it.

It wasn’t on though . The middles were getting on top . The time I thought to bring him on was when it was 11 vs 12 . We got a few quick ply the balls there . I feel like he could taken advantage

Yeah exactly that would have been the play, we were fired up at that point bringing Lids on might have given us a fresh spark to get over the top of them.

You also have to defend a man short. They have an extra man on the field and you want the two smallest guys defending in the middle?

Madge was trying to defend that period when Twal was off. Would have been a disaster with liddle and grant out there.

IMO the sin binning delayed liddle getting out there

Let’s run with your point. We held them pretty well during that period and were even on top of them for periods in that time until we gave up the try just before Twal was due to come back on with 21 mins to go. Would you have found more than 7 mins for Lids to make an impact?

Agree with more than 7mins but it would have been cutting our own throats to have two little blokes in the middle defending whilst Twal was off gagai was back on only a couple of minutes after Twal

Thought Brooksie's only real faults were his kicks(including the one on Burgess😂) and he failed to slide over once in defence for a Bunnies try. He doesn't look totally clueless - or unsure of himself - at all times either. So I'll take that over his earlier form, as he's shown he's capable of having a little fire in his belly.

I get the defensive efforts in the first 20 were very costly to us but the fact we had the chance to steal it away but failed , is so frustrating. We dug so deep and had it in our grasp - all the dropped ball from Bunnies and Eiso's steal created opportunities we never seem to get.
It was bloody miraculous.

Gee I love Harry Grant. That little man deserves to play origin this year.

Madge's interchange use is still a bit annoying too.

I’ll say it here, Grant is a once in a generation player! His will to win is phenomenal! I’ve never seen a player make a tackle in the middle, then run to one edge to make a legs tackle, then run to another edge to make a try saving cover tackle, then clean up a ball in the in goal running towards the middle! Our only player even near the ball! Freakish!

His cutout passes from dummy half would hit a 10 cent piece everytime, the vision in attack, the post contact metres in his running game from dummy half and as a lock forward are incredible! We are witnessing GREATNESS, a future captain and a person who will change this club forever! Inspirational player ?????

Might go with him...

Man ,certain people on here just love to move from player to player over time throwing all kinds of rubbish.

I’ve said it before , if anyone think brooks is rubbish you don’t know anything about football.
The reason you all dislike him is because he didn’t end up being the saviour , he never was to begin with . I think he’s fine , and an above average halfback , reflective of his pay packet . He’s not on 800k , he’s on 700k , which is about right , when you consider 1.2m for thurston At the end of his career. And DCE is on 1.4m . That’s how you need to look at it.

To me , that’s a stretegic move . He puts up the mid field bomb to land on the 10m to get the defence right there , to try and gain the ascendancy. The problem is we have failed to really take advantage of those kicks . The kick to the corner doesn’t work . It’s high risk for 2 reason
1- it might go dead . 7 tackle set
2. A good back 3 can get it on the half volley and find thier front and the attacking team has the advantage . Our line speed is anus at the moment .

Let’s celebrate that loss. Apart from first 20 minutes ..... we competed.
It’s a positive for the future.
Couple of observations.
Garner should not be in starting side. His defence and attack has been mediocre this year.
Talau is very much a question rather than a backline answer. If he has a future it’s in the forwards.
We need a ball playing lock ....... desperately.
And with roster additions we hope will eventuate next year ..... I think we just might get pat that dreaded 9th spot.

I think McIntyre can be the ball playing lock we need. Has had a couple of nice passes and hits like J trbojovic. With a bit more mongrel.

If the right person can develop his passing game, he should become a great player. Certainly seems to have the determination and effort for it. Type of player you would love to coach and play along side.

Way better than Twal, Twal needs to be in the prop rotation

I would like to see BJ move to 13 to earn his money. He needs to touch the ball more, he could play a similar role to Taumololo , is able to offload & adds some aggression.he has the ability to a top 10 player in the league he just needs to be more involved

Not watching closely enough - AJ only ruined the Benji pass, he just wasn't experienced enough to be up flatter and completely wasn't expecting it, not an excuse but purely a rookie's mistake.

The other one from AD was ruled a forward pass 🙂

There is always the option for the guy with 17 years experience to look and see where the runner is and pass it to where he is instead of where he wished he was. Again.
