We tripped stumbled , bumbled our way to victory

**Brooks is a champion ...never doubted him .......**

Seriously though our big problem that stands out is the lack of mobility in Huth ,Packer and Seyfarth

At least if you have Musgrove , Twal even Rowdy in the 13 ..you have more lateral movement in your middle 3rd

You’re kidding right? One field goal to win a match doesn’t make up for 7 years of nothingness! About bloody time he did something good.

Read the next line spud .....seriously though .....I was ready to throttle Brooks up until then

How slow does Brooks look compared to last year where he was probably one of the quickest in the team.

Exactly reckon he has a calf or hammy issue myself

Well done. Stole a win over the most rubbish team in the comp. Back into ninth.

A win is a win right? This week 1st beat 12th by 6 points, 11th beat 3rd by 2 points, 8th beat 14th by 1 point, 6th beat 10th by 2 points. All close wins between "good" and "bad" sides.

It matters less, on the day, how you do it, and more that you just do it. Or as some fans say "that's a game we should have won", and lo.

Sometimes I think winning those games does us no favours.
It was so pathetic that we shouldn’t think that winning was a silver lining.

Better than losing

That’s what I’m saying.
I just don’t know if it is.

It is..find it funny when other teams play like crap yet find a way to win they are credited..see Newcastle today against a Manly team with no Trbojevic Taupau Fonua-Blake lost the fill in fill in fullback and just got home..

Because they can do it against teams not running last with one win all season. The Dogs is you execute correctly can be beaten easily. We let them back in the game which, is inexcusable.

In the past 5 weeks Dogs have beaten Knights by 2, lost to Dragons by 6, lost to Eels by 2, lost to Storm by 31, then Tigers by 1. It's not as if teams have been consistently putting the Dogs away recently.

Also Bulldogs have 2 wins.

Dogs play hard no doubt about that. You have to beat them but we should have went on with that game if we are serious contenders.

Reynolds, Nofa, Marshall, Eisenhuth/Liddle cost us 4 tries. They were all bad misses. The lapses in concentration have to be fixed.

I've figured out what happened WT'S took their foot off the pedal because they wanted to save themselves for the Rorters particularly after the hard game Rorters had against the Storm

Nah. I keep reading this same type of comment and it really baffles me.

It wasn't the opposition or the score, its the fact they had a commending lead and control of the game and completely threw it away....Again! Those 2 points will mean nothing at the end of the season. Maybe the difference between 9th and 12th. Yay.

Solid games against Parra / Penrith/ raiders. Brain snaps against Titans , flogging against the knights and a FG to split the difference against the probable spoon winners for 2020. Mix in the Warriors but its offset against a great game against the Bronco's. See the pattern?

Sure, get the win but show some type of positive progression. There's been plenty of games that the team has given up leads and gone on to win. What I expect most people fans want to see is a positive shift in the mentality and performance of the team over a season.

Well they didn't completely throw it away, they won.

I dunno; I understand what you are saying but sometimes I feel like people believe too much that if you get a decent lead in a match, the opposition won't or shouldn't come back into the game. That would be nice but it's 80 mins of football and if you found a way to rack up points, that's not to say the opposition won't or can't do it too, in spite of whatever points you may have at the time.

It's probably a classic Tigers fan who says "oh no we are too far in front".

Yeah they should have won by a good margin, but at least they won.

So is the Dogs game indicative of the general lack of consistency of 2020? Actually, I'd argue it is not. It's the first close game that we've won all year - any other game this year, decided by less than 10 points, we've lost. I agree we want positive progression, but winning comes first. And if you win an ugly game, be thankful and try to learn from it, but it's better than an "honest loss" IMO.
