I think Nofo's attacking game is under pressure when he is continuously our go to man. I get it's his job and he's a professional NRL player.
I think he needs to keep working on his defensive reads and get some silly little things out of his game, but he's usually our most switched on and competitive outside back.

Two things concern me about tonight's game.

1) The RCG try up the middle, very reminiscent of the one against Souths(?) where MCK and Eiso got tangled. Both were very costly, it really changed the momentum tonight.

2) My concerns about Doueihi at fullback remain. His positioning is still questionable and his reluctance to attack the high ball is concerning. His (apparent) lack of pace is also worrying. The attempt on RCG was not good and both the 'shoulder charge' tackles were ineffective. I'm not sold and Madge seemed unhappy about it in the press conference.

But of a misinterpretation, you highlighted that you disagreed with my comments on my rightful criticism of his defence.

I don't think that's quite correct either, when they all slid during the other attempts ^^this didn't happen. From my recollection, during that time Nofo was the only player who moved out of position and ran in. I could be wrong though.

I don't think it really matters if we debate it on the WTF though because hopefully we findsome type of resolution to the issue, think it's well known we've leaked so and so points on that side. (And no I'm not blaming Nofo for all those but simply suggesting we continue to work on it, how Madge sees fit).

The 2 bad passes from Lawrence were basically desperation because we needed to score. And one of them was a hospital from Brooks, put Lawrence under so much pressure from Sivo. We dropped some ball going hard left too.

Really? What’s wrong with Twal, Packer, Aloia, Garner, Lucy, McIntyre & now Blore?

None of them are like Campbell Gillard etc rep players, but they try damn hard and I'm proud of them.

Give them a go, apart from Packer (who is a rep player) they are all under 24.

In my view there were a lot of things that we can take out of that game. On the positive side our effort and enthusiasm was high for the full 80 and certainly we hung in there even though we had few troops and players out of position. In seasons past we would have capitulated in the last 15 mins and ended up being beaten by 20+.
I can't agree with those saying that we matched it with their pack tonight and lost the game in our halves. I thought we lost the game in the middle - their 2 props RCG and Paulo almost ran more than our whole pack combined -close to 450metres between them, add in Brown, Lane and Nikore and the Eels pack dominated ours. As much as our guys tried hard we just didn't get them on the back foot for a large part of the game. Also you can't underestimate the value of the offload - they lead to tries and line breaks in many instances - they beat us comfortably there as well. Their outside backs also were far more dominant than ours and caused us trouble when they had opportunities.
Our completion rate was relatively poor tonight with a few errors - although Benji tried to turn the momentum with a few trick plays which probably made the stats look worse.
Some key observations:
Uto looked likely, as did Blore.
We missed Twal and Garner and will be better with them starting.
Walters defended strongly but was way too quiet in attack. Brooks was far more dominant than him.
Grant, although great, can sometimes hold onto the ball too long.
AD is not convincing as a fullback yet and needs more time.
Mbye can not kick well enough.

Thought Benji and Walters were pretty average. We lack composure and discipline and for me that’s on the halves a lot of the time. Barely saw Walters touch the footy

Tends to happen with 29% of the ball.

That could be a reason, another could be that most of that 29% was coming out of our own 20.
