I'm not sure why we are bagging these blokes..

We were up against a clear lack of possession some due to repeated penalties and 6 again's thanks to Sutton some because of our own errors lost 2 players to HIA another in McIntyre off at the same time...A kid who made a great debut..

No one didn't put in every effort to try to get us home or back into the game and we finished as strong as we started scoring the last TRY..missing half our starting pack..

Yeah we lost but there are more positive signs than the previous 5 years..

By all means though ..carry on..

Unfortunately Geo, I think for a lot of people it has become a way of life over the years to bag the team after a loss over the years.

However it is a different team and over the last however many weeks they have been toughening up, putting in 100% and basically trying to play their arses off.

BUT.. that's not what a lot on here want, they do not make allowances for young guys learning their craft from a master coach, a coach still working with a few left over nuffies from previous contracts, quite a number of players out through injury, one suspension and a number of injuries in this game. Plus we, as usual did not get the rub of the green again (as usual it was the rub of the brown). Always a few as well, wanting to jump in and put crap on their usual disliked players.

Maybe one day the effort, continued improvement etc. may change a few minds, but I doubt it.

Doueihi has been pretty safe for us, but has been caught out of position a couple of times this season. Tonight was a bad night for him, but he's better than Mbye at FB.

Once we took the foot off the gas by taking the 2 points, it changed the whole momentum of the game.

Yes, we had some rough calls, bad defence and injuries, but we had them on the ropes and didn't capitalise.

Must say, that I'm proud of the effort and we never gave up despite having no possession (strangely NRL.com says we had 51% ??).

Players coming back on deck at the right time of the season - with this intensity and grit, we'll go close to sneaking in.

Rowdy sets up Nuffie for a clear run TWICE . OPs Nuffie nowhere to be seen he needs to decide whether he is a winger or wants to play in the middle .

We must have watched a different game - I do recall however two terrible passes from Rowdy to the winger.

As said earlier, I'll defer to Madge to sack Nofo if he believes he's at fault. I'm certain it will happen if you're correct.

One of the passes went forward and the other one Rowdy didn't even look when he threw it.

Phil Gould mentioned the lopsided penalty and six more tackle count during the game. He also spoke well of the team and the confrontation between a 19 year old and the fiery Brown. I think he knows what Maguire is building and is supportive of us as a smaller team attempting to bridge the gap with the powerhouses. It. Was pleasing especially with the boys club talking up Moses and the hooker.

Outstanding effort again by the team. Full of heart. We just lack a couple of classy players to pull us through. I'm sure recruitment is working on it and it appears it will come from youth. I take my hat off to the coaching staff and players for this new found (since the c19 break) grit, determination and toughness. I think a few sides are starting to find out Wests Tigers no longer have a soft underbelly.

I agree 100%. They might not have had to find Nofo as BJ is as big a threat as anybody.

Whilst he has height, he has no pace and is out of position too much for a fullback.

His positioning is appalling. There was also absolutely no reason he shouldn't have caught that bomb straight after halftime either. It was really poor from him and put the team under immense pressure while he cooled his heels on the sideline from HIA. I think the concern moving forward is he has been caught out several times with positioning which kind of makes you question is he actually learning if he keeps making the same mistakes?

He was awful, but before that he'd been rock solid all year. There are a lot bigger problems in this team than Doueihi, such as our halves.
