I agree with what Madge told the players at half time.. they’re not playing like a team. These guys wouldn’t know how to spell the word. Now the question I have is..
Of the 50 odd employees working in various administrative and coaching roles, is there anyone, anyone capable of building a team from this group?

But why is he persevering with certain players when it's clear they're not up to it and dragging the team down?
That's setting us up for failure if you ask me.

I’ve asked myself the same question.?

I understand that Madge has the belief that he can’t expect loyalty if he doesn’t show it to the players, but it’s not reciprocated. There comes a point in time when he needs to cut his losses.

My summary from the second half is really a total lack of attitude. They were lazy in defence, hardly any line speed. No urgency what so ever. Arm grabbing, Expecting someone else to do the work. I really don't mind losing (well I do) but I can not stand not putting in. The second half was diabolical and I certainly don't want to see a lack of effort like that again.

I noticed particularly AJ. That try were I think it was Keary (or was it Lam) made a break and drew Laurie and passed it out to Morris who scored, AJ was basically jogging back after Keary made the break expecting Laurie to shut it down. Had he actually ran with them with some urgency he would have been able to stop Morris. That was really disgraceful and set the tone for the whole second half. It was all about attitude. AJ needs a stint in NSW cup.

A few punters from the pub
Couldn’t play any worse

Yes I remember seeing that
He was slowly jogging back then realised he could probably catch him but it was to late
If he put the effort in early there is a possibility that try could have got shut down

It was a poor effort

I thought AJ was going to be a good one but he has proven me wrong. Terrible hands, lazy and looks overweight and injured. He left Laurie with no chance on Morris as there was 3 rooster players on the inside with no other tiger player in site. AJ and BJ shouldn’t be in the team next week. I’d go with Talau and MBYE.

His attitude was that this is going to happen a lot today so I better pace myself

Do you believe he came as a deal with Luciano? Sign BJ and you'll get LL? I don't believe our club would have signed him otherwise.

Exactly mike, I thought AJ could have stayed on the play, but where were the cover defenders?
In fairness to AJ, I think he was playing busted.
There are far too many players using the Woody Allen approach (being there is 80% of success) and not putting in the 20% which guarantees the win.
A lot has been said about Penrith’s swarming defensive style, but it’s an approach which is simply generated from a desire to support your teammates. At WT, we don’t understand what teamwork is. We leave our mates stranded to deal with a 2 on 1.
Harry shone a light on our problem in 2020, and now Daine Laurie is doing the same.

Absolutely no idea if they were a package deal, someone with closer ties maybe able to answer that question. What I do know though, is they can’t be on the same side together, it just doesn’t work.

That's setting us up for failure if you ask me.

I honestly don't think you cut your first-choice players after 2 weeks losing against Top 4 sides.

Also - who is the replacement? If James Roberts is back and he retains Talau in place of BJ, so be it. But after Talau, who is next? William Kei? Rookies everywhere.

I see your point, but some players just gave up and that does my head in. Id rather play a rookie than see Joey in our jersey ever again. He has no heart, is a complete moron and should be packing his bags for England. For all Brooks' faults (which are plenty), at least he tried.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for cutting players if the coach truly believes that's the best option. However you are going to want to have a Sebastian Kris waiting in the wings, otherwise the rookies will get just as eviscerated as the dumped guys.

? It looks like a case of either the half hearted players, the fans, or the rookies who dream of having a go, then? Who should get eviscerated?

Just a quick question about the new rules, are forward passes from dummy half legal now? The amount I see during games that go uncalled is beyond a joke not only in our games but others also, although I notice alot in our games. The refs so far this year have been as average as our defense and its gotta change. All the rule changes in the world will not help our game until the refs start calling fair games and making correct calls!!!

Rorters threw 7 forward passes which went unnoticed today by the officials

I watched with my two sons and we counted 10.

Yep, that was evident at the ground. No idea what the touchies were looking at but it certainly wasn't forward passes.
