Just a quick question about the new rules, are forward passes from dummy half legal now? The amount I see during games that go uncalled is beyond a joke not only in our games but others also, although I notice alot in our games. The refs so far this year have been as average as our defense and its gotta change. All the rule changes in the world will not help our game until the refs start calling fair games and making correct calls!!!

Rorters threw 7 forward passes which went unnoticed today by the officials

I watched with my two sons and we counted 10.

7 chooks
3 us

Luke Keary seems to take on the line every set and has options all around him. Luke Brooks takes on the line and has no support anywhere around him.

I hate to say it but I’m starting to doubt Madge.

Yeah I’m feeling a bit the same actually. I thought he was a good coach, but not so sure now. Maybe he actually was a good coach and our club has just destroyed him. Wouldn’t be the first time.

Well... We turn great players into plodders.... Maybe we're broadening our horizons to coaches too

Our support play has been abysmal for a number of seasons.

My summary from the second half is really a total lack of attitude. They were lazy in defence, hardly any line speed. No urgency what so ever. Arm grabbing, Expecting someone else to do the work. I really don't mind losing (well I do) but I can not stand not putting in. The second half was diabolical and I certainly don't want to see a lack of effort like that again.

I noticed particularly AJ. That try were I think it was Keary (or was it Lam) made a break and drew Laurie and passed it out to Morris who scored, AJ was basically jogging back after Keary made the break expecting Laurie to shut it down. Had he actually ran with them with some urgency he would have been able to stop Morris. That was really disgraceful and set the tone for the whole second half. It was all about attitude. AJ needs a stint in NSW cup.

Yes I remember seeing that
He was slowly jogging back then realised he could probably catch him but it was to late
If he put the effort in early there is a possibility that try could have got shut down

It was a poor effort

It comes down to poor attitude.

Yep so why is it like this? A young guy with potential, speed and a golden opportunity to play in the NRL couldn’t give a rats! What enables him to think he can just go on the field and not play with any urgency? Is it our culture? The team around him? The coach? I’m at a loss.

Not since Dwyer and Ellis.
