**live game feed** vs the Titans

It is the wrong attitude, the refs were absolutely terrible and got a lot wrong against us, but we lost because we sucked as team.

I often wonder why our captain gets a pass. Mybe made 5 runs for 19m got pumped back in goal and really isn't adding alot

OK so the Titans short kick didn't go 10 but that's not why we lost. we can point the finger at individual players but that's not why we lost either.
There's something in the Tigers DNA because this happens all the time. Of course it's us that give the Titans their first win in 12 months. They ran harder and tackled than we did all game.
Madge knows it, he said so in the press conference. Sacking this player or that player for next week isn't going to fix the problem.
there needs to be a thorough internal review and some honest conversations and I think Madge is the one who can help turn things around.
people are going to say things like "Madge picks the side, it's his fault" but again, this is a systemic problem because it has been happening for the past 10 years or more.
Playing Thompson or Reynolds won't solve this. Sacking Brooks or Jennings won't either. This is a deep seeded problem that has infected the whole club.

Sorry but I have to disagree with your assessment.

I can't see how he was responsible for two tries, in fact I can't see how he's responsible for any. Can you explain what you think he should do with the try where they kicked in behind him? He can't sit back too far if the inside men move up - that leaves a hole for a runner and a vulnerability close to the line. Name any winger in the comp and I'd be sure I can find a similar try against them. I also believe this is when the fullback should be offering cover and I have grave concerns about his positional play.

I imagine the 2nd try you think he's responsible for must be the final try because he ended up closest to the scorer. I just watched it again and he was marking the opposition winger with Doueihi about 7 metres inside him (imagine the howls of protest if he came in and left his winger).

The fact he ended up almost under the posts and closer to the ball than Doueihi is a far greater condemnation of the fullback than the winger. In fact if you look at this you will see at least 4 players closer to the posts than Nofo, including Doueihi on the far right.

Go a couple of frames further and you see Nofo overtaking Doueihi...

It was a tremendous effort to get there but it shouldn't have been his play to defend - clearly not his fault. Where were the middle players or the players from our left edge? Why wasn't Doueihi back given he was 7 metres closer.

Like any player, Nofo has his faults, but to blame him for these tries is questionable.

I actually feel for the guy - he's one of the few who has a red hot crack every week and is one of the most maligned guys to have ever worn the jersey.

While I'm at it, without his two tries against Saints we lose. Without his two tries and an assist yesterday we're not in the game. Right now, he's the only bloke in our team who looks like scoring.

Finally, I apologise for any over analysis, I am very OCD and enjoy scrutinising things like this.

Completely agree,i will critisize any player who gets it wrong but some people on here seem to just blame Nof just because he is on the field. In no way was he responsible for 2 tries scored against us last night the first he was on his wing marking up with BJ outnumbered in a 3-2 overlap(as usual)The kick is put in goal behind him which is the full backs(AD) job to clean up.If he had stayed back for a possible kick and not moved up as he is coached to do with BJ it would have left a 3-1 overlap and i would have blamed him then for not supporting his inside man.
I cant even imagine what the 2nd try he is being blamed for could be.

Ive been a tigers fan for too long to be disappointed its just apart of being a tigers fan.

I dunno, even by our standards that was horrible. 14 in a row they’d lost. Hadn’t looked likely all season. We get 12-0 up in the opening 15. I mean not even at our worst would you suppose we lose.

idk but to me it looked like we didn't really want to be out there, kinda played half arsed

Maguire very pissed off in press conference. Said the club has a loser mentality basically. I’ve Been saying that for years - every moment, every time we need to or should win, on and off the field, we lose. We are a friggen joke. Apart from about 12 weeks in 2005, we always have been. Tonight was disgraceful, embarrassing and just too much really.

Our halves are shockers, our best player is a loan 3rd string hooker from the storm, we will never be a serious top 8 side with our 2 halves, throw in Jennings, Seyfarth, Clark and Lawrence who wouldn't get a start at any other club and you get the picture.

Brooks’s kicking game is diabolical at best .
I’d give my leftie for Adam Reynolds

How do you fix it though. Many have tried none have succeeded.

Wish I knew mate. No decent player wants to come here, we don’t have the bags of cash to entice them either and any one decent pisses off

We need Bellamy at the club or something. Madge has taken the right steps towards fixing our culture but there’s still performances like tonight.

Hopefully he makes some changes to the team I’ll be disappointed if he doesn’t - we need to bounce back next week but we’re playing another one of our bogey teams

Holbrook made wholesale changes last week, dropped a stack of players because they didn't have the right attitude, 3 high profile players included, Wallace, Peats and Boyd, and they come out and beat us. I won't be expecting big changes tomorrow, we don't roll like that, we use the, we will give them their 17th chance next week, they will be better, you watch.
Madge I will start for you, drop these players for next week, Brooks, Marshall, Jennings, Clark, Seyfarth and Lawrence, feel free to drop more, they deserve it.

Lawrence and Jennings are the only realistic of those bunch. And maybe Clark. We both know the halves aren’t going anywhere. It was only last week on 360 he was full of praise for both of them. He might give them a rocket, but they’ll be there against the Raiders.

Of course they will be there mate, and that is my point, and that is why we are a perennial bottom 8 side, until the protected species get dropped, nothing will change. I would play Grant for 80, pick Walters in the halves with Grub and let them have a crack

Imagine having Walters and Reynolds as halves... you think we lack leadership and direction with our current halves imagine those two!

Saab asking dragons for another release this week apparently. We are in the hot seat to sign him along with Melbourne according to The Mole

They would not be worse, Grub has a great short kicking game and will bring some much needed enthusiasm, Walters is a strong defender and ball runner, he has it in him to control the game, Brooks and Benji do not

Benji and brooks has a great short kicking game too, short kicking isn’t the issue it’s long kicking finding grass in the corners we struggle with. Reynolds isn’t the player who controls a game and leads the team around the park

Walters is solid but I haven’t seen much from him to show he can control a game. He’s a handy attacking player for sure that’s why he’s good off the bench.
