Brooks is garbage..

I just through that in to fit in…

So why don't you front up to training.
I'm sure Ivan and the boys would be in awe of your athletic prowess.

I think you missed the point completely but…. never mind..

I reckon our best halves pairing will be Brooks and Marshall. I also like IC but he stuffed up buying Reynolds.

Pretty savage seeing he hasn't even played a game yet.

I hope I'm wrong but I think signing Reynolds was a really poor decision.

Like you Earl, I have had my reservations about signing him, but I'm beginning to think the change of scenery will do him good. He has some ugly plays and brain explosions that I'm not real keen on, but he is a very passionate player and he can be great in a team that is going forward… and we will be going forward next season

If Ivan can stamp out his stupid plays, or at least tone them down a bit, I think Reynolds with his energy & never say die attitude, will end up being an asset to our team. In any case, I think that having Benji lurking behind the scenes will certainly keep both Reynolds and Brooks on their toes - masterstroke by Cleary I reckon.

I may have missed your point, but I made mine.

If you go back and read the thread…Brooks was instrumental in the 2 tries in the 1st half that got us back in the game hardly any mention of it except a few...most sweat on an error or a poor play to stick the boot in..he got my 1 point for getting us back un the game...not sure what your point is...

Emotions aside well done boys. 16-0 down, if that was under our previous coach it would have ended up 50-0\. You came back and went toe to toe with one of the premiership favourites. Great effort.

Absolutely! Getting within 4 points after 6 years of being comprehensively 'owned' by that team (who I hate more than any other, btw) is almost like winning the bloody thing tonight!

Disappointing to be oh so close and not taking the biscuits, but you have to be proud of the effort - we have improved out of sight. If this sort of improvement keeps up, Cleary can stay as our coach forever, imo.

Brooks will turn out alright.

At the moment he has no pressure being put on him for his position.

Next year, if he is not performing up to FG standard than Cleary will drop him for Gamble or Benji.

His greatest strength is his running game and speed. He can also set up trys as shown tonight.

His defence is alright - he digs in and he can put on a shot occasionally. He is better than Moses. His defense will be fine with a good backrower next to him (ET, McQueen or Lawrence).

His kicking game needs improvement but with a whole pre-season with Cleary and Hodgson he should improve his last tackle options. If not give Gamble a run.

We need to put some faith into Brooks - If Cleary believes in him then so should we

I will always apologise when wrong.
Sorry I jump in. I was too lazy to read some of the previous posts.
I'm really jack of the constant negativity re Luke Brooks. Sorry Geo, you seem to be one of the few intelligent posters.

I really like the Benji signing. He gives us options in the halves where we have two players that are inconsistent.

I think Brooks can come good though and on decent dollars for us he is a good deal.

You got one part of this right. Brooks cops it way too harshly. Geo is intelligent in a school for deformed apes. Sorry Geo but I have to be honest.

What drugs are you on champ? Moses will be playing for the Blues. Brooks is lucky to be in first grade.

*threw lol.

Seriously though, i agree with the premise of your sarcasm. Tonight was not one of Luke's worst by a long shot. He looked dangerous out there and made most of his tackles. Last play options aside, he was one of our better players.

Haven't read the thread but IMO we played better then last week and I'd say that's the best we've played this year. Very happy with the direction Cleary is taking us in.
