I was at the game last night and just read this thread back pretty quickly. It starts briefly hopeful, Liddle goes down, everyone turns on the team, Liddle is made of glass, Benji brain explosions, Brooksy never been any good, ET not a hooker, etc and the Refs, penalties, building to a peak after their first try until we unexpectedly score our try. Suddenly it all goes hopeful again and even into the second half it's a bit of pride in how we are hanging in but negativity creeping back in for sure
After 65 minutes of 30% or so possession, we let in a couple of quick tries and it's back on in earnest, the room turns again and pretty much everyone is rubbish
I get the disappointment and that it comes from a long term history of mediocrity but without Robbie, Mbye, Garner and Aloiai we were always going to struggle at Brookie
We lose our hooker after 5 minutes and another forward to a HIA. Penalty count of 8-2 and forced to make two thirds of the tackles in the game with a 15 man squad and it really was in many ways a gutsy performance
Three to go, if we win them all which will be tough as our shallow depth gets tested, it's mathematically possible, but once you utter those words, it's pretty much done but let's support the boys and the club for the next few weeks, I still think they have overachieved with the squad we have and with around $2 million tied up in three players who for one reason or another haven't contributed much this season
