**Live game thread** Us vs the Dragons

Typical win by us. It's never over till very late in the game.
No chance of the 8 but I hope we keep the others honest.
Rankin? He does his best but he shouldn't be there.

Well that was an improvement on the last two games with Farah off the bench, wasn't it.???lucky it was saints

Yeh…. Lucky Farah wasn't there to stifle our attack we might have only scored half the points we did

I think we win by 40 if we had robbie off the bench when we went into our shell and started doing stupid things, He would have been the experienced guiding influence at that stage !!!!!!!

3\. Moses
2\. Kevvy
1 Simona

A win is a win but if we trip into the Semis with Today's performance ? We will get our pants pulled down .

To many sides get rewarded….Top 5 is the next thing the NRL need to look at , less than a 50% winning ratio trips you over playing semi final footy.

Current sides like 5th Bulldogs , 7th Titans , 8th Panthers have no hope of winning the big dance IMO.

Lovett in the centres!!!! How anyone can support the coaches decision going into this game is putting their hate for Farah ahead of our teams success.
Glad we won - but gee after the first 15 mins the dragons were woeful
Woods was awesome in my opinion.

Great win by the boys… We were down 2 players for much of the game and our goal line defence and scramble was superb... Hopefully this game sends a clear message:

time for Farah to accept his fate and either stay in reserve grade or fi d another club.
Despite the barb about our defence, it was very good today
The players do play for JT

You must be kidding, saints are awful, this proves nothing, and as for the playing for JT thing, you must be trolling.

Just giving my opinion…which I'm entitled to

Ah the haters, don't you just love them. Only used to crawl out from under their rocks after a loss. Now it's after a win or a loss.

They would still hate even if we won the comp. Pinheads, all of them.

Great win boys.

There was a reason for the timing of Taylors. We play the worst team that was in front of us. And a club that is struggling to put a first grade team on the field. And also looked like they finally gave up at last, Not much chance of a loss in those two games .
But we should have pasted the Dragonsand improved our points for and against.
Instead we win by 13 . Two weeks , then reality hits
Edwards isn't a first grader, neither is Lovett. Will anything be done about that .??

Any win is good as points go . But Col if you really think that was great, you haven't got a clue about football . Enjoy next week , then be prepared for a reality check.after Parra.

Yes Col it was a win, a much needed one, but lets not kid ourselves, it wasn't even close to great.

Very good win with 2 players down. There must be rule change to penalise reckless headhunters. After we lost Grant, their forward should go. Professional foul on SImona and no 10 minutes ??
All of our forwards impressed.
The 'meter-eater' Woods 190 m, from 21 runs, 35 tackles, 1 MT WOW.
Seumanufagai was again among the best, 145 m from 14 runs, 31 tackles and 1 MT,
out wnd best forward.
Sue was also very good, 125 m from 12 runs, 20 tackles, 1 MT.
Aloiai finaly played more minutes, 119m from 14 runs, 27 tackles and 0 MT.
Taylor and Edwards were good in defence.
Moses and Nofoaluma turned the game around. Moses 40/20 and that offload -fantastic. Nofoaluma is big question in defence positioning, but his attack and ball returns are something else, arguably among the best NRL wingers for ball returns.
Moses and Brooks again missed too many tackles 7 and 8 respectively.
With a few smarter plays we could scored at least 3-4 more tries.
Also good defence in patches, we held them out after 3 sets of 6, very good even against St Illawarra

A lot of hate for Edwards - what did he do wrong? Made a couple of tackles from what I saw, nothing special but nothing bad either.

And isn't your mouth watering at the thought of this supposed ''reality check''. As i just said to someone else in another thread, what fun it must be to sit and watch us win games while feeling disdain. And if that's not enough, feel the need to have to come on here and be a big wet blanket, insulting people for being happy with seeing their team win, especially off the back of a difficult week.

We got the two points , wasn't great , didn't expect much more after the week they'd had

Lets hope we can continue winning , its a nice feeling

I've been around this club and its ancestors too long to go overboard adout a win that was like yesterday's. I said that we got the points and that was good , but to call that A great win was way OTT. I realise that you want it sugar coated , but if we play like that after next week we will be lucky to win another game. So dip the result in as much honey as you like , it's still was a win that didn't help our points differential much .
And it was a game that should have.

And you also thought Penrith were a legit team and were going to give us a touch up after soft recent wins against Souths and a depleted Broncos side. You have recent form of underestimating this side.

Dragons are terrible.

That's an understatement Yoss, boy they are crap.

And we only managed to beat them by 13 points. 😱pen_mouth:
Glad we got the win, but what a miserable perfomance from both teams.
Nothing to crowe home about. Kinda have to agree with Warren Smith when he laughingly implied, that fans that came to see these two teams play today, should demand their money back. :frowning:
