Where to begin....What a dumb, dumb, dumb display by our halves. Yes both of them. Madden was the perfect replacement today too, because he was just as dumb( probably even dumber). At HT i was reasonably comfy only being down by 2. Second half we will have the wind at our backs and Manly will be constantly coming off their line....of course the mistake i made was to think we might have actually played smart and booted the shit out of the ball to make Manly go the length. Nope
(silly me). Then to top it off, old Maddsy comes on and puts up a nice bomb......not just any old bomb mind you...noooo a MIDFIELD one!! Thats pretty tricky and and a great idea, when you haven't been screaming out for field position.

Forwards........................................soft.
Its the only word to describe them accurately. I exclude Joffa (never stops trying). Ive seen enough of Seyfarth, not first grade standard. I don't know what happened to that aggressive young bloke that debuted with us, but the aggression is gone and so are the lungs by the look of it. Gassed after 5 mins. We have to have the slowest play-the-balls in the NRL and the worst part is we show no desire to get up. There will never be a penalty if you're not fighting to get to your feet.

As for the backs, Kenny...see above, another softcock. Only beaten for size by Musgrove, but only a quarter of the ticker.

Toa, not a fullback or a centres e. To play in either of those positions you actually need to pass occasionally. Seems beyond him. Wing or bust.

Noffa, looked like he had a big night on the piss last night. Pretty disinterested. Maybe he did actually like Madge.

It's never going to matter what players are brought in to this club, until it is so deeply ingrained into the clubs culture to show some urgency to get up to play the ball and move up in defence and show some line speed for 80 minutes.

There was one positive....the presentation and lap of honour to the Matts boys. Congrats fellas.

Hey there. Watched from Milan today. Not sure what the fuss is all about. It’s obvious that the forward pack is not good enough for Reserve Grade yet alone NRL. Whilst this is the case, don’t even worry about the backs. Can have NSW backline and would still be lucky to make the 8. 2022 was a ride off before the first kickoff. THAT WAS OBVIOUS. But I am looking forward to 2023. We will then see improvement say 8-10 points +. And that’s playing without a coach!

All comes down to be short of props. You should have 6 props in an nrl squad and we only have 4 and 1 is out injured, 1 is too old and 1 in Misgrove is a 5th or 6th prop playing as a starter. Eveything else comes from being dominated in the front row.
1000%
I have been banging on about this for a while.
Our front row rotation is bottom 4 at full strength. With injuries…you get today. Our stocks are already very low and losing Tamou and Mikaele for season 2023 leaves us extremely vulnerable. I reckon we need to buy 2 good props and promote a third for next year.

I’ve genuinely lost interest now in our club and the NRL.

It’s just embarrassing and predictable.

Would love it if the club board could be voted on by members. This is a disgrace.

And with regards to a coach, we need some experienced. I have fears if it is Ciraldo.

The losses just make the wins that much sweeter.

Who am I kidding, I am becoming numb to it all.
