**Live game thread**

Based on our roster and no signings in our weaknesses, I am not that unhappy with the performance, just not a top 8 side yet!

Couldnt make any metres going forward. They were able to get out of there half at will. There kicking game was great and ours very average. Cherrington made some very ordinary decisions near the end when we needed to move rhe ball when we had a chance.
And ffs can we make the game simple without all the bs rules and crap. Deadset its becoming worse than watching Union

We had our chances, didn't give up but we're never really in it. We should have followed NSW and smashed DCE - he would have gone missing. Need consistent aggression to win. Lawrence was a plus, Moses went well but nofo' medial damage is not great. Need a weapon out wide, not sure he is it anyway.

Proud of the effort….in years gone by we could have been on the end of a hammering....Injuries in game and the inability to defend errors cost us in the end.....

We didn't probably deserve to win , our defence again let us down

I'm getting sick of refs though , how two almost identical situations 48 hours apart (Stewart's 2nd try and Inglis no try ) can be ruled differently just amazes me

And then how a video ref can use the worst possible angle to view Simona's no try when the other shows clear try baffles me

Good brave effort from the team. We are a class centre short of being semi-final contenders. What are the chances of luring one for 2016 if Molzten leaves this season?

I blame the grey jerseys !

Not to disappointed all things considered ..

Woods backing up after Origin , sue was missing ,
Nofa getting hurt ….

Simona was good and lawrence is improving in the second row .

Yup don't think the forwards were as forward as they were last week. I think this one was a mental one. Beat Soufs last week and play the spooners. And get the best SOO forward back. Think it was complacency. Tapau seemed quiet but on those 2 or 3 massive tackle busts he looked dangerous.

Getting done by the filth leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Far too many errors and piss poor reads in defence.

Simona should have been given that try.

Honestly I think things could be worse and they have been worse in prior years. We've really only been belted once this year (the Roosters game), the effort has been there just not the execution and given how inexperienced the side is, should that really be a surprise?

Is there a Shayne Hayne thread yet? Maybe we can revisit the one from the last Manly game when he refused to use the video.

Tapau was sick, might have the flu, he threw up apparently when he came off in the 1st half

Lol Taupau quiet.

13 runs for 141 metres 20 tackles 3 tackle breaks and a line break and he threw up after 20 minutes.

He's a machine.

Woods was very flat. Probably shouldn't have backed up. For the first time in a long time Galloway ran for more metres and so did Ava and Marty.

Ava was tremendous. Tedesco was amazing as usual. Was a pretty unfortunate game with Nofoaluma going down hurt, Taupau sick and Woodsy flatter than usual. Manly really stepped up too and their international halves played like international halves.

No way did Simona score that, mate. Can't blame the refs for our loss tonight, we got a lot of good calls and won the penalty count 9 - 6 at Brookvale, which is amazing in itself. We just couldn't capitalise on it and beat ourselves in the end. Ftr, I reckon the DCE 'no try' was a try, also.

The other thing with the young fellas on this steep learning curves defensively is this

No matter how many times you watch say a DCE , Cronk ,Pearce ,Inglis ,Smith on TV and video sessions is not until you play against them you realize how good their step is , timing of a pass , learn their strengths and weaknesses , their ball runners etc You learn most of it in the heat of the battle

Manly still put a good side on the paddock , and Mateo turned into Artie Beetson and El Masri as he usually does against us

We can attack , we need to learn to defend , and I reckon I will say that a thousand more times this season

Proud of the effort???

Lay off the crack pipe man.

That was a terrible display.

No line speed in defense,we let their halves run way too long, got bashed by the worst pack in the comp and made stupid schoolboy errors time after time…

Yeah great effort everyone.....lets break out the bubbly!

I wasn't to disappointed on the result as previous weeks .
Tapau was crook ,woods was backing up , Nofa getting injured .
Galloway was poor for his 200th hit out , but lawrence is looking good in the second row .
Simona was good !
