Right side defence is still a major issue isn't it. Nofzilla was brilliant with the ball so I don't see how we could not pick him. Kev on the other hand, very quiet in attack & pretty much invisible in defence. I don't know that big Jamal is ready for 80 mins as yet but when he is (& if Kev doesn't improve) I'd have him & MCK (who was impressive tonight) as starting centres. Suli made a few errors but he looks every bit a first grader.

I thought Mcilwrick was good tonight too. Thought he did better than JLJ. Will be good when ballin &/or Liddle are ready to go too. Other than that I couldn't see too many other weaknesses tonight. Granted we played a team with a couple of busteds but a good start none the less!

Actually on Robbie, Souths were much better when Cook moved into DH.

My favourite was mid second half when he was beaten and then went to go third/fourth man in on Woods, who in turn grabbed his jersey and ragdolled him whilst getting plenty of attention.

He was certainly the least effective dummy half on the field, which can't be denied.

Well some of you keep obsessing over Farah lets look at the tigers performance.

Tedesco what more can you say about him. Woods, had an unbelievable game. The biggest thing for me is when woods comes off we normally go backwards but our bench forwards really stepped up.

Mcwillrick had a great game. Suli what a talent of a player, even the rabbitoh supporters were in awe of him.

Idris is another story. Chee kam should be the centre and Idris should be an impact forward. He was huffing and puffing and doing alot of walking.

Moses is still a massive liability in defence heaps more than brooks. Our edge defence will be torn to shreds by decent teams.

The tigers in the crowd were even louder than the rabbitoh supporters. Great to get a win. Hats of to JT cant fault team selection and tactics.

You missed his couple of linebreak assists and he tackled his ring out….and he didnt just walk around he had high involvement. There were plenty worse.

Good win and whilst it is silly to say it in round 1, but that was must win. Souths will be bottom 3 this year. Their forwards are not there anymore and need some fresh faces.

Defence on edges remains an issue for Wests, otherwise a good performance.

Teddy is on the verge of joining the top echellon of current players.
He has to and would probably kill to, play Origin and Test footy.
He will be part of the NSW resurgence which will begin this year.
I just hope he is resigned before hand.

Just saw Rowdy's TRY again…As Taylor said in the presser Brooks took the hit 2 tackles before rather than throw a crash ball... ..something he wasn't doing last Year..it's a sign of maturing...IMO...

Lawrence line was superb...at speed back on an angle ..carrying 3 over the line with work to do getting it down

Of course they will be a far better side with Reynolds back and Inglis 100 % fit , but if they can't change their game plans I think we might be looking at the side that finishes 14th

But CK they looked better with Cook in the side at hooker , whether that was our match fitness I'm not sure

Watch the first 20 mins again (the period that won us the game). Farah was terrible. Three paces behind every other player on the field. He looked like my 75 year old father trying to hobble around.

In all fairness to Robbie he didnt play very much last year so perhaps he will better for the run.
