Liverpool development

I tell you guys if there was a stadium with Shelter, good rail access and good parking my family of 7 would attend a truck load more games.

We are not looking for mega cheap prices, just value and a day that is conducive to taking the 5 kids.

Cambo to exposed, Liechardt is to difficult

I would stongly support this development in a massive growth area of the Sydney Metro

Imagine Liverpool through to Cambo as well os parts of he inner west all Tigers obsessed, we could have a fanbase that would rival Newcastle and brisbane

definitely agree, thats what Dave Smith is looking to do with this $600 mil funding.

although the liverpool development is just our training base, not a stadium as yet

edit: PROPOSED training base.

I would take it all the same,

Would def help in terms of recruitment and retention

Also as it is the ambition of the Wests Tigers to have me employed by them in a senior leadership capacity in the future, this would help get me across the line. (commute to work would be opposite traffic on the M5)

Press release from Balmain today saying that may have to go into voluntary liquidation, recent Council decision re the development of the old Leagues club site makes a return almost impossible so a major clustermess ahead.

Marina Go said last week there were a few areas pushing to have the club come there and use as a training base. Livo was one of them and was one of the ones pushing the hardest along with Cambo. If the state of the Leagues club fiasco makes it difficult to set up a base in the inner west, maybe Cambo could be a short term solution till if and when Livo gets up and running

I don't why they just don't bite the bullet if this Liverpool thing becomes a reality. Concord will not be used due to the infrastructure project, Liverpool is closer to the centre of Sydney (players live all over the shop now,) would be easier for the Campbelltown kids to get to Liverpool than Concord, and it's still in the south west.

Oh they have to travel an hour or 2 to train…spare me days...

All..... I want is for the training facilities are state of the art rather than the rabble they have ATM....

Doesn't it make logistical sense to have the location central to Sydney considering players live all over the Sydney basin Geo?

Yes very much so as long as those facilities are of a high standard….Homebush is the obvious choice to me...I just hope the decision is made soon...

Yep, I'm starting to feel like Homebush is the way to go, especially if ANZ does get this big upgrade it's looking at. If it went to a poll of Tigers members to decide between Liverpool and Homebush I wonder what venue would come out on top.

Thought I'd add this to this thread rather than start a new one. Weird that we dont seem interested in this development. I wonder if they are any closer to finding a home.
