i dont know if others noticed at the end of the game yesterday how the scoreboard had the the 9 - 2 scoreline from the 1988 final when the tigers ( with ellery hanley ) beat the sharks. its not the first time that the scoreboard has had similar scorelines from the past put up at the end of a match at leichardt. its good stuff giving out subtle digs to visiting beaten supporters. might have even got flanagan fired up as well.

Flanagan wouldn't know how much his mob got beaten by the last time we played, let alone the score from a 1988 semi final.

He would have looked at it and made a pithy comment to his coaching staff about the scoreboard attendants being retarded. :roll

In 1988 the Sharks were the Minor Premiers but went out the back door with defeats by the eventual Grand Finalists in the Bulldogs & Tigers, the Tigers came from a play off for 5th place minus Steve Roach who was suspended following the 5th place play off game, The Pearl had a blinder and Laurie reminded us that 'Ellery eats celery'!.
