Lote Tuqiri thread

Ryan would be at the bottom of the pecking order? Stupid really thought he was a very much consistent performer who was hitting his straps at the right time of the season before the knee injury in the Parra game. Has great finishing skills i.e against parra along the sideline was a classic

he said something along the lines 'with tuqiri coming' then changed it to 'if we get tuqiri". read into that what you want. i couldnt help myself. I had to laugh.

With the re-signing of Ryan, i'm seriously thinking sheens will play Lote at 3 where he can be more of a ranging ball player ala Gasnier. It would suit his perceived "lack of speed"
Whilst that in itself isn't a bad idea, the overwhelming priority should be to get Moltzen into the number 7\. The rest of the team can revolve around that.

Where does that leave Ayshford….?

This video is worth a look......FoxSports ANNOUNCE Lote's signing.....

Hey X...it's Beau Ryan here....probably taking the p.......

Man if we get this over hyped bozo who may well be a thorn rather than a saviour he must definetly play on the wing because he hasnt the skills to play elsewhere.

He is a winger through and through, ie lazy and does F - all.

Remember the old joke about wingers - whats their definition? they are the guys that hang around with footballers.

Sick of all this crap…...cant see how he will be worth it...

I would not be surprised if Ryan constructed the whole slip-up as a gee-up.

Yes, can see him chuckling to himself while perusing the 10 pages of discussion on here that his throwaway line is likely to generate

maybe they will announce it when he actually signs, i wouldnt put a contract in front of him until he turns up at concord ready to play for the tigers.
imagine if he needs a knee reco. or has a serious injury while playin union and tigers having to honour there contract.

sounds like Lote'$ in form …

_Two penalties and two drop goals from young fly-half Freddie Burns against three Jeremy Staunton penalties sealed the 12-9 win. **However, Leicester had a golden chance to steal a win they hardly deserved, given the second-half battering the home side handed their line, when Australian Lote Tuqiri knocked the ball on with the try-line wide open in the final move of the match.** :blush:_

If Gallant was playing he would have torn those Rah Rah's apart !

To be fair, given it was a union match it was probably the first time he got to touch the ball. He probably didn't recognise what it was at first.
80 minutes and no tries - what a game!!

BB despite our differences of opinion before this comment I actually respected your view. The notion that pint sized gallant could contribute on a rugby field is rubbish. Disappointing that your bias would shine through to this extent.

Gallant would strggle to play first grade for Randwick. He doesnt have the size or strength to play rugby. Teams would kick to him all day long.

What are you on about?????

If Gallant can handle NRL - which he obviously can, then why on earth wouldn't he be able to play that bludgers game? They'd stop kicking to him after they realised that he was making too much ground as he was too elusive for the defenders.

Go ahead though, defend your game, did you see the test last night? Absolutely pathetic.

Played last Wednesday at St Michael's Golf Club for a NSW Waratahs Golf Day…..had an awesome time.
Played with Al Baxter, a 6'3" 115 kg highest capped Wallaby Prop in our team....we won the day with 8 Under.

He and other Waratahs at the luncheon table all said that Lote will be at the Wests Tigers in 2010 after his England stint.....I said I would rather have the 32 year old ,Al there, at the Tigers than Lote....and one of them said(you got to be kidding...Lote will kill it for you guys next year).

Al, even though he has a contract with the Waratahs for next year, said he would really consider the Tigers , if they gave him a call.
