Lote Tuqiri thread

If we get Lote I will be very happy if we get Lima instead I will still be very happy.
Snaring Cayless plus maybe one of these guys is a lot better than none of them,
like our recruitment drive over the last few years.

If we get Lote now i belive it will be the Jewel in the crown, to be honest i think it was Lima or Cayless not both thats why Cayless went to Brisbane and had a look around,perhaps we tried for Lima but nothing was forth coming and now we have turned our attensions to Lote.Money talks in this world and no matter which way you think Lote will bring in $$$ for the club through marketability and sponsorship,increased membership ect ect so under that basis i belive he is the man we now want i have a feeling there is a friday arvo press conference on the horizon although its just a feeling….

Agreed,and for those saying he is slow,well he is sure faster than Hodgo who was a champ for us.

great point. i think we have a winner.

if anyone wants to check how lote goes against slater in a 40 meter beach sprint, watch it on line at greatestathlete.com (something like that).

the big guy is a bit slow to get going (as you'd expect in the sand) but seems to hold his speed the same as slaters over that distance.

a whinger / sore loser but hopefully because of his desrie to win everything - which is good.

Benny is on talkin sport and I just sent them an email asking when we would hear about lote - benny said lote has enrolled his son into school at balmain and that he and his wife were very happy living in the area. He said that lote would be playing rugby league next year, he said 99% it would be for the mighty tiges.

i havent read too many comments on here about him, but i for one am very excited at the prospect of him being a tiger!
ive just always thought he was a great player in both league and union and would love to see him on the field for the tiges next year.

Reported in the Fiji Times an Hour ago. From this at least we know they are meeting this arvo, who knows how accurate it is.

Wests Tigers are set to pull of the biggest signings of NRL history if Lote Tuqiri opts to sign on the dotted line.

The Tigers are reportedly ready to offer the 30-year-old dual international a two-year deal which could be clinched when club officials meet him and his manager this afternoon.

Tigers Chief Executive Stephen Humphreys said he was keen to land Tuqiri.

He told The Daily Telegraph: "We have made no secret of the fact that we're interested in him if he's keen to return to the NRL."

lets just all wait and see, yesterday Benny Elias said he would ring Hughesy on talkinsport that night after he spoke with our ceo, he said you would hear it first here on 2sm! I dont know if its all jibba jabba but ill be tuning in to talkin sport at 3\. I'll keep you's posted on here if i hear anything.
