It's Payten…....not Payton......Arrrgh......ball playing lock... back to the bench for him....'05 style, >>>>>>>>>Prop rotation.......

Tuqiri, who will return to the NRL for the 2010 season, with Wests Tigers,

Just turned 30 and with a strong desire somehow to find a way back into the Wallabies set-up for the 2011 World Cup, he knows he can't afford any more slip-ups.

😕 Australian Telecrap or London Telecrap...Ummmmmmm

Post # 1661 - gotto be a record of some sort, Can someone verify???

Didnt the Wobblies Sack him midway through his contract in 2009 ?? Im guessing Lote isnt that silly to think he likey to get a run in that jersey again.

This artical has no credability.

I think we need Payten in our side. Whilst he is not a damaging forward his skills can not be underestimated and the ability he has to offload and place runners into holes whilst attracting defenders is worth having in the side. I would definately have him in there above any of the young props.

Todd Payten is vital part of the team. Deffinately Ball playing Lock or off the Bench for 2010\. I hope to see him in the Tigers colours for a few seasons more.

I see alot of talk about - Fafita, Mataka, Lazurus and Malaney. Realistically with the depth that we seem to be getting, Will they be ready for 1st grade this year Let alone making the starting 17 in round 1\. I have my reservations.

so many players with such great talent…
make the field 20m wider and chuck 3 more players in there :stuck_out_tongue:

Since the club is closed for xmas now, do you think there will be any announcements? I think we have to wait till January now for any news on Lote.

Hang on, remember he has to outplay Fitzy for a spot in the team…he could be in state cup all year!!

Your toying with my mind fainty…

All serious media is off and holidaying. Only reserves working at the mo.

The tigers will want to maximise the exposure on this one for sure.

Im thinking late January at the earliest

Who said they have to announce it for Sheens to get his Christmas present? Sheens only wants pen on paper and that can happen in a matter of minutes. Santa can use fax and email these days.

If they have a signed contract by Christmas that is all Sheens will want - he doesn't need to care about the publicity, this can happen when the club is good and ready.

Sheens himself said about 2 or 3 weeks before xmas that there should be some news, something concrete on this "in a couple of weeks"…or words to that effect.

Membership drive.

Again, he may have the news he wants, doesn't mean he needs to share it with everyone. The club is probably doing the right thing in waiting till people return from xmas holidays as it will have better impact for membership and sponsorship announcements. Additionally, most journos are away over this break and it is cricket time in the media, so probably worth saving it up till late Jan/Feb
