to be honest if we ended up not even signing tuqiri i wouldnt be bothered one bit. the hype has gone on for too long and our line up will be stronger without him..would only look good with his name in it

would u rather have someone like Beau Ryan over Lote.. i know its dragging out but i rather Lote any day of the week

and his signing isnt a done deal.. ONE THING is stopping the announcement.. and its a time thing. not a contract thing

no but i would rather tupou on the wing over lote, and for the amount we are said to be offering him i would rather it be invested in resigning some our up and comings like mullaney and fifita

What sort of time thing….........Like Lote making up his mind what time he wants to make his return to Rugby League and giving up his lifelong dream of money and representing Fiji at the world Cup........

A Ryan 100% committed to the cause......it's a close call....

I'm actually a massive Beau Ryan fan. The guy is naturally talented and has heart. Some of the things I've seen Beau Ryan pull off are outrageous and I feel 2010 is going to prove a lot about Beau.

I agree…....will be interesting to see where he fits into the puzzle.

put it this way.

Would you sign someone untill u know they are 100% fit and ready to play? or would u sign them and just hope they make it through the season and have no serious injuries. Tigers are paying good money for him so they want to make sure he is healthy.. We wont hear anything untill at least 4 or 5 weeks from the end of the comp he is playing in.. IMHO

I agree Im also a massive fan of his, not only on the field but he is also a top bloke off the field. However I do feel he is out of position on the wing, he is originally a centre and I think with his lack of natural speed he gets a bit of position and maybe lacks some explosiveness of other wingers in the NRL. But in saying that he in no way embarrasses himself I just think I move to the centres would be better for him and the team.

Lote's still got to complete UK Rugby stint unscathed….

Then the Contract will be signed and an anouncement made.

Yeah I have always thought Beau was better in the centres too but we have Lawrence and Ayshford there now.

I don;t want to be too negative about Beau Ryan because he seems like a good bloke and he did improve over the last bit of the season but for 2/3rds of last season he was rubbish. Including one particularly heartless moment which cost us a game. The details of that moment escape me but it was nowhere near grade standard.
Good luck to him this season but I really hope he plays like the last 1/3rd rather than the first 2/3rds of last season. I don;t think he'll ever see centre again either. We've too many other players for that spot.

& so there's some hint of on-topic to this post 95 pages of Lote mania & still no announcement! We would have cracked the 100 if not for a number of necessary post deletions

Do you mean that game against the Cowboys when he didn't drop on the ball in the ingoal and watched Payne drop on it. Now that I'm writing this, was that even Beau Ryan?

He doesn't set the world on fire for me but I agree that his end to the year was very good. Perhaps B Aysh will have more confidence in his passing and that will give Beau more ball. He finished very well in that (don't mention it) game against Parra.

just to throw a log on the LT fire did anyone see the "spotted" section in the telecrap today, LT spotted looking at real estate in Balmain yesterday?

did anyone know he was in the country?

I can 100% confirm that someone else is living in the Balmain house that Lote Tuqiri had been living in for the past 5/6 years. Someone else has moved in.

so that DT rumour might have some starch behind it
