Now normally I'm one to talk about NRL being a business and ensuring players look after themselves for life after footy to get max dollar.

In saying that Woods, Teddy & Moses are all acting oike spoilt little brats that have taken many things for granted.

Teddy signed with the raiders for more, then last minute changes his tune. It was a circus due to indecision & impacted the team back then. This time around he is offered more, a long term deal and shown respect that he is wanted. Yet again indecision and impacting his play & he won't commit. We aren't at the forefront of his mind despite making rep honours last year and looking like it this year again.

Woods the captain of the club, the face of the club in the media and when questioned always ums on the question of staying. Again we aren't at the forefront of his mind despite playing for his country and potentially being captain of NSW.

Moses I'm extremely disappointed in. Last year his contract extension for this year lasted months, sorted out and he clicked into gear. His offered amount meant we couldnt sign anyone else & he got his wish to lead the team around the park. This year lasted for months and yet to click. The Tigers withdraw the offer which he had for a while on more money than anyone else offered and he acts like a spoilt brat, packs up and wants out straight away. Despite the club showing all the faith in the world in letting Benji, Austin and Martin go to enable his development.

These guys have no respect for the club at all, they don't bleed black, white and orange. Their first thought isn't the club. Despite the club bending over backwards numerous times to make them happy and center of attention getting what they wanted the team for themselves.

I'm glad Cleary has stood firm, asked for a commitment and will have this all resolved quickly.

As one who defends the boys I'm disappointed in how they have handled this and want players who want & will bleed black, white & orange for this club. Players that want to be here and those who demand respect after they show it in return.

If they all leave I won't be cut up, sure it will suck seeing them all running around for another club but sometimes spoilt brats need to be put into their place.

Loyalty is not dead at our club, we just witnessed it with Luke Brooks. I wonder if Luke Brooks' decision to sign was in keeping with Isaac Moses' strategy.

I blame the player manager who got in to the players heads about milking it for as long as possible, holding the club to ransom and in the process screwing the fans over with rubbish displays.

Cleary has come in and asked for a commitment straight away, which is fantastic beacuse Moses has already spat the dummy and wants out.

It seems that the FANS are the last consideration of these four?

Have we even been mentioned during any interview or quote from them since this has been going on?

Slowly but surely these players have managed to successfully drive a wedge between themselves and the fans instead of having the fans support.

Fans and the club colours are intrinsically linked, and thus is a loyalty that should be respected by the players. I regularly hear players from other clubs talk about the fans… but our players, not so much.

Great Post Mighty T…

Once the game went pro loyalty went out the window.

Loyalty is a word thrown out there by a club or player/manager when it works for their argument.

I think the only time loyalty should be considered in league is when you raise a player through your Jnr ranks, you put time on effort in their potential and they make it to FG. Then and only then should there be the discussion of loyalty. In fact I think the nrl should have a loyalty clause in all Jnr player contracts, 5 years you must remain at the club who made you a FG player or something to that effect.

You could say its the player manager, however Teddy for example had a different player manager until last year. He had no issues changing as he wasn't happy. Their is enough to suggest its the players rather than player manager.

They have all been offered long deals and top $$$. Manager has done his job.

Woods is infront of the media answering questions, Teddy is infront of the media as is Moses. Not their manager. They each have a track record as well.

At some point accountability sits with the players rather than their manager. If they wanted to stay they would be saying so, something they aren't saying.

IMO Isaac Moses is the culprit here..he has poisoned the minds of these young guys to believe selfishness and greed are always more important than loyalty, committment and teamwork.
Hes also vindicative in reacting to WTs refusal to hire his 2 "whisperer"buddies, and has set about sabotaging WTs season.Cost JT his job,but that wasn't enough
Not a shred of decency about him,and Politis has a point in refusing to deal with him.
ATM ,weve got one (and hopefully more)of his stable, but I wouldn't ever wish to work with him again

U can blame the manager but the buck stops with these players…. they have shown no respect to the club that's made them what they are or the fans...I say boo the crap out of them at our next home games

For the money offered, we could pick up Bird who is a proven SOO player. Any young player who can come straight into SOO and have the impact he provided is worth pursuing. Moses hasn't achieved what Bird has to date. Also, we have a coach is also proven in rebuilding clubs and with a lot of $ to spend.

Contrast their behaviour to that of Cronk. Hopefully it hardens the clubs view of player developments and contracts. TBH none of these players are worth the hassle.

What is it with us and player managers? Our players always seem to hire the grubs who want to screw us over. I don't hear much of this going on at other clubs, at least not played out in the media like it is at WT.

Actually, during a recent interview Teddy said he wouldn't be taking the fans into consideration with his next contract. It's on the Tigers website.

Really? Amazing! How to wind friends and influence people…

What also ticks me off a bit is that we let Austin and Martin go to other clubs because the Tigers gave Moses the nod and this is how that is repaid?

No such thing as loyalty in pro sport, but I would like to think there is things like integrity and honesty and I have not seen much of that lately.

The not so big three are within their rights to move on for what ever reason, but just do what your going to do and stop dragging the club through the gutter media

Link to the video if you want to watch it. He says it at 4:55\. Be warned though listening to it is a bit like getting punched in the gut.

x 2 SC.

Not fussed about loyalty in professional sport, but dignity and integrity are paramount still.

Thinking about what you said Mighty, you do have to wonder if that sort of off-field attitude affects on-field. I'd wager it affects it to a very large extent.

The guy who says "this is just a job", "I need to look out for myself" etc. is usually the same guy who packs it in and gives up when work gets tough, because they are not invested beyond their own brand/wallet.

So it doesn't surprise me to hear players talking about "Number One" and needing more from the club wrt success and setup, because I see that lack of accountability on the field as well. When the team is getting belted and the match is in the balance, 9/10 they fold like origami.

And I don't want to hear anyone say "you don't understand, it's tough in footy, putting your body on the line" etc. etc. These kids signed up for this career, they stand to make a lot of money from it, and with the salary/fame comes expectations.

I don't need footballers to be one-club legends, the way the cap works it's common enough to have to shift around. All I want is for a player to bust his hump for the club whilst he is here.
