Lui

I think this will probably be a one off, due to playing Cronulla, unless Lui **really** shines.

He is a great player though. Will be very interesting to see how he goes with Benji.

If it doesnt work, Hanbury to fullback next week and Moltzen to half again. No worries (providing we win this week).

everytime ive seen the kid on tv hes putting players through holes or scoring tries himself
looks like a decent defender too

Seems bloody silly to move Moltzen to me. This is the best half combo we have fielded in a very long time and we go and change it first chance we get.

If you're good enough, you're old enough. The kid has ability, has the talent and oozes with class. It's a huge step up, however Lui is a specialist Half _(How refreshing that we've had 2 in the past 6 weeks now),_ can handle the first or second receiver role well. I'm extremely anxious yet excited with his appointment in the No.7.

With the pack going forward, it will help his cause, giving the kid more time to think, act, move. From my observations since watching him as a School Boy with Keebra, he plays a lot on his instinct and isn't afraid to back himself. That's what you want from quality halves.

Many have questioned his defence and will he be able to handly the challenge, the pace when the opposition are attacking. I believe Lui won't be holding back and will be out to impress. I expect him to gain more confidence throughout the duration of the game and will have plenty of support when it the Sharks channel their big men at him. All the best kid. I'll be cheering for you.

iv heard big things about him but never seen him play. most are saying his defence is suspect. if it is, moi moi is going to kill him in 2 weeks.
hanbury went ok in the number 1 when he played there so we should put him in and leave moltz at 7.
i hope moltz plays 7 in attack. thank god we r playing sharks.
if we were playing eels, i dont think sheens would have taken a risk with Lui.
best of luck to him n im looking forward to seeing him run around this wkend.

The first time i saw him play would have been about 4 years ago playing for Keebra Park even though he was a couple of years younger than everyone else on the field he was a standout. When the commentators said he was with the Tigers in the future i was delighted. The only problems that he will have are adjusting to the speed of the game and his defence in first grade, this is something you can only learn by playing at that level.Cronulla is the ideal side for him to be bloodied against.

For the first time in a long while Tim has taken a gamble on a young creative player and Lui will be a first grader and a very good one in the long term

I know it is hard, but stress less over Moltzen at full-back. He will still play a hodgo like play-makers role, and I do believe he is far superior to Hanbury at the back. I will be most surprised if Lui does not handle the jump to first grade - I have that much confidence in him.

Of more vital importance for mine is that Lawrence defends in the centers. He worked like an animal in that win vs Manly!

I imagine as usual therell be lots of shifting around during the game, hope they dont get in each others way

The biggest loss is Gallants defensive organisation from the back.

Only real fullbacks offer that I am afraid

It will be interesting to see what side of the field Lui plays. In NYC, he plays on the left side similar to the way Benji does.

I'd like to think Lui will be moved to the right so we don't upset our structure too much.

When I watch Lui, I keep wondering how big he is going to get. I can kinda seem him getting Paul Davis big.

im amazed hes been selected at this point of the year, sheens had the chance to blood players last year when our season was gone and still persisted with the same old players, now when our season is on the line ….........

I know that around here Sheens bashing has become the new national pastime, but lets not let facts get in the way of a rant…....the Tigers were still in the running for the finals up until the Newcastle game which from memory was last or second last game.

If we start to lack in direction what would u guys think if Sheens would to throw Lui at the back and put Moltz back in at 7??… I think Lui is athletic and skillfull enough to handle the fullback role and would definately add some flair to the side. This is only if we start to struggle...

At least we have a fullback that can tackle now rather then just jumping at the chest and falling off. Although Gallants attack has been good and his pace is blistering, I feel a fullbacks defence is somewhat just as important and a major reason why the tigers are yet to offer him a contract.

as tigergirlz says, i think he is head and shoulders above toyota cup standard and definitely worthy of an nrl berth. from the games i have seen on fox, he has a great passing game, makes the right decision at the right time and the passes always go where they should. personally i dont see the likeness to benji and think he is a more composed sort, rather than flashy.

but why play him now?!! many times recently (before moltzen got moved to half) i was saying this guy should be given a go. he is a 5/8th and when marshall was struggling at 7 i couldnt work out why he wasnt given a go at 6.

whilst i am very happy lui gets his chance, i feel a bit for him being brought in at this stage where he will have a great deal more pressure on him.

after the roosters game i, like so many others here, thought the logical and least disruptive thing for the side would have been to simply bring hanbury in to fullback and leave the halves as they are. why when moltzen has been a revelation would you change that?!

Top post. I've hardly seen him play but they have wraps on him and I would love to see him turn into a top first grader.

I also agree completely with the benefit of us having halves play in the halves. Sheens decisions for the last 3 seasons have been madness - lets hope that this is the end of that. 2 good halves and a good pack goes a long way to winning games.

I, for one, can't wait to see what Lui and Benji can put together on Sunday. It could be brilliant. In the Cuzzo interview on WTV

Lui says he's watched a lot of Benji videos, Benji, Scott Prince and Andrew Johns inspired the way he plays. He seems confident.

Hope he kills it in the NRL.
