Lui

Ndaira would be great. He played halfback for the majority of last season for the Centurions so could cover Moltzen and allow Farah to switch hit at half. Problem solved

Everyone has been harping on about Moltzen getting a start ahead of Lui, and now everyone wants to hide him in the centres or fullback when he should be the first choice halfback now that Rob is out?

Why is everyone so keen to butcher Jacob Millers development? From reports it sounds like the guy has attitude issues at times, so there's no need to stroke his ego by giving him a premature start in FG.

For those suggestions for Wade Mac at 7, he is a specialist fullback. Being a great support player does not constitute a great halfback. His kicking game is non existent and he has no organisational skills in attack.

Commonsense people:

Wade Mac at one.
Brown/Daniela left side.
Ayshford/Utai right side.
Moltzen at seven.

If you get the chance to watch game again cb just go and look how many times Wade gets to dummy half .we have 2 other kickers in team . Moltzen imo is not 100% ready yet . His defence at times was not good . And the speed issue Again if you watch game again watch MacKinnon taking metres off Ferguson and Lawrence when ferguson scored 90 metre try late . He lacks speed off the mark yes . If Moltzen is 100% he should be halfback instead of Lui no questions asked while he is injured If he is not 100% I think it will be a huge gamble to risk him for 80 minutes So I think most agree he won't get 80 minutes So what do we do then ??

Wake up people CB is talking as it will and should be.

Personally I'm hoping Lui is OK…

**SMH - Another victim as Lui adds to lengthy injury list for Tigers
Glenn Jackson
March 29, 2011**
AS IT emerged that Lote Tuqiri might have played for 11 minutes with a broken arm, Wests Tigers were facing for a further injury blow, **with halfback Robert Lui in doubt to face the Sydney Roosters on Sunday with an ankle problem**.

**Lui was in a protective boot yesterday and unable to train. Tigers coach Tim Sheens said he was waiting on an update on Lui's condition from club doctor Donald Kuah but was concerned enough about the key playmaker.**

Tuqiri will have surgery on his arm this morning, amid suggestions he did the damage well before he was forced off the field. He reeled out of a tackle on Raiders centre Joel Thompson in the 39th minute, and complained to club physiotherapist Andrew Leeds that he was getting pins and needles in his hands. But he played on after half-time, and did not leave the field until he took another knock to the area in the 50th minute.

''I felt a sharp pain but I thought I could play on,'' Tuqiri said yesterday. ''I came back out after half-time, and I tried to make that tackle on the fullback [Josh Dugan], and I thought, 'No, this is no good.'''

It wasn't. Tuqiri is likely to be sidelined for two months.

''He copped a knock on it and had a nerve sensation in his hand and fingers,'' Leeds said. ''He just shook it off. He didn't seem too concerned.

''He had good grip strength at the time. He went out for the second half but he copped a whack in exactly the same spot. It's hard to say whether it was already fractured or if the second whack did more damage. It was only when he got that second whack that it just went dead.''

Sheens will name the replacements for Tuqiri and centre Chris Lawrence, the latter's entire season in doubt following a hip dislocation, today. They are likely to be Mitch Brown and Geoff Daniela. But Sheens said last night he was waiting for more information on Lui's injury before he was able to confirm his line-up.

Tim Moltzen is another option for a centre spot but he would likely take the No.7 jumper should Lui be ruled unfit.

Lawrence had some good news yesterday, with scans revealing no fractures in addition to the dislocated hip. He is now hopeful of a return as soon as late July, although that will depend on further testing after the six-week mark.

did moltzen turn into a fat pig or something?
did he just resume running?

the trials are over, time to play 80 mins.

shame about lui though, didn't he go down with a ankle this time last year.

I would rather have Moltzen at #7 for 60 minutes of the game and the then park the bus for the last 20 minutes rather than use Farah at #7 again.

If the team physio and doctor believe he is ready, I have no qualms with him playing the 80 mins.

But taking the one specialist in the #1 jersey and placing him at #7 and putting Moltzen at #1 where he struggles is farcical.

Come on Happy…McKinnon wasn't taking ground off Ferguson at all. He was coming from the side of the field which gave the illusion he was taking ground off him and then Ferguson deliberately slowed down right at the end to draw him in and then accelerated again so smoke him and bring the ball around under the posts. Take a look at his last try when he had more ground to cover and again had too much speed for McKinnon and pushed him off with ease with that fend of his.

Hit the nail on the head Smeg. Moltzen has been running for quite some time now and looks pretty fit. Haven't noticed him bent over struggling to breath out there and injuries have now opened the door for him to put his best foot forward. Lui went down after round 2 last year in similar circumstances. Hope he isn't out as long this time because he didn't return until the Souths massacre in round 10 I think it was.

Farah was playing 7 in the Raiders 20 a lot….so not much changes.....throw Toddy in there for a couple of sets as well and we'll be sweet.......

Lui is starting to possibly show signs he maybe injury prone . Is this the 4th time now he has been out for injury in less than 2 years .

Moltzen to half and Meaney to the bench to cover a couple of backline positions.

Farah could play half back during the game if Moltzen is struggling with fitness.

Jacob Miller is an ex Easts player so might would be up for a big game to show them
what they let go. Maybe he is too young and inexperienced at this stage for the move to NRL.

IMHO I believe with Lawrence and Tuqiri we have the best right side in the competition, yes these two are now out but the players who should be replacing them in Daniella and Brown have proven they can play FG, fair enough we may not have the best right side anymore but definitely isn't the worst in the NRL.

I am looking forward to Moltzen moving back to HB, he and Benji carved teams up before Molzten did his ACL, will be interesting to see if they can get that magic back, god I hope so.

Bring on the rorters I say.

Willow if you run from corner to corner it is actually further than running straight along along sideline Anyway don't want to argue with you about it . I'm concerned about Moltzen playing 80 minutes and rehurting himself and imo the next best option for half would be Mackinnon . Lots don't agree thats fine its just an opinion and Sheens won't do it . My point all along was Moltzen and his confidence in his knee and he lacks it at this stage . I hope he has a blinder and gets the 80 minutes Just think a lot of people will be disappointed because he is not ready yet . Even Sheens last week said he is a few weeks away yet .

*** Can anyone honestly tell me that they believe Wade McKinnon is better than any of the players I have named in the above backline?
For that matter I`d also happily take Jake Mullaney and Jake Clarke in the side before McKinnon. Wade
had a couple of really good years for the Warriors, but is now only a shadow of the player he was.

I thought he was on the improve considering he is only a couple of games back from an injury that was giving him a lot of grief. I liked his scoots from dummy half and he was always somewhere there in support. I think he should be in the side - we have enough disruptions, he hasn't gone poorly enough to lose his spot.

It would appear the majority of Wests Tigers supporters agree with you as well Tigersmurf. I would agree that he`s done nothing wrong, but I strongly believe he blunts our attack which is playing away from our strength. We have the best attacking player in the world (Benji Marshall) and we are well regarded as the best attacking team in the NRL. The way I see it players such as Tim Moltzen and Jake Mullany would follow Benji around like a little puppy dog and they both have the anticipation and pace to cause any defence plenty of trouble whilst if we go for Mitch Brown he has the size, pace and power to inject himself into the backline and be a genuine danger man like he was throughout the finals series last season.
I really hope Wade proves me wrong and comes out and has a blinder this weekend, but I really do doubt it.
