Luke Brooks #167

Remember when they said having bEnJi onboard was good because he would attract and influence players to come to the Tigers. Couldnt get it done on or off the field. Maybe he needs Prince in the box alongside him like he did in 2005.

Zero players announced to join next year and a warchest of funds says alot.

From the outside it sure looks like Benji is struggling to sell his vision to attract players.

Shit rolls down hill. From the tracky dacks CEO to the dinosaur Coach and untried assistant coaches to the halfback. The whole joint needs to be bleached................then torched.
Finally off contract...
After 10 years of mediocrity.
Perfect time to sever the relationship...

And this breaks.

Not one person at this club has questioned this guys position, says it all really...

Yeah but potential

So over this club, hanging on by a thread. Such an abusive relationship 50+ years of backing and this is all you get in return. 2-8, 10 years of failure, this is a direct FU to the fans. Stop buying memberships, merch, tix. Boycott the bastards.

Dragons new coach dropped Mbye to 18th man.

Making the hard calls.

Shame our mob can't see an issue with this nonsense - after a decade of recorded evidence.

The reality is, as much as it's so obvious Brooks should move on and the WT form a new halves pairing the FACTs are.

1) We cannot attract a decent half to the club. We have been rejected by Munster, Moses, Pearce and probably Johnson.
2) We have no good half in our system for a least another 3 years and that's based on potential....which rarely turn to gold..
3) No other NRL club will touch Brooks for the price tag he would want.
4) As much as it pains me to admit, Brooks is the best we HAVE and can GET....which is ewhy we will offer an extension and why he will accept it

We have to. Sheensy showed common sense today. It's a shame there isn't more of it on this forum.

I'm not sure he won't get another contract offer. I think Newcastle went hard for him last season.

I'd argue common sense wouldn't be continuing to do the same thing & expecting a different result....

Wakeham has no contract.
AD is no certainty to ever play again.
They're likely to extend Brooks...

I'd like to hope there is something else at play to ensure we aren't relying on the same tried and tested (failed) player for the next year or two. 🤦🏻

With this season and the next a write off with Brooks still here wasting our top 5 pack, and obviously zero pull by the club/coaches/players to attract any regular first grade half to the club, Id rather they go out and buy/scout 10 reggie halves from SL, park footy, reserves, PNG, Mars and trial and error all of them. You cant do any worse, you already have a 95% chance of a loss naming Brooks. There is zero negatives and potential positives of finding someone that can play NRL.........better than Loser Brooks, Id much rather go down by 20 cheering on someone different over seeing Brooks produce his usual shit game and getting angry the idiots at the club seemingly think its ok to name this peanut and lose every week. I cheered on the Tigers of the early 90s that won spoon and very few games because they tried their poo hole out. The club is taking the piss. They are throwing away the best pack weve ever had, a finals pack with their inability to attract a NRL standard half.

Cue the Stockholm Syndrome Brooks simps

Right on cue with Heartbreaker Brooks and the irony of him posting about common sense.

I don't understand this comment. Are you stating Brooksy is completely responsible for the club struggling since he has been here ? Are you stating that one player is that important to any club ?

The club obviously didn't think Jacob Liddle was the 9 to take the club forward... let him go.

Yet backed the 7 that's actually a 6 but lacks any kind of attribute to be successful in those positions... other than a running game.

He has played more than double the amount of games that almost every other Wests Tigers player has played since his debut.

Every other key playmaker or big-money earner was axed or moved on during this period (due to our obvious lack of success) except him.

The entire club has revolved around him for years.
