The one thing that keeps sticking out for me with Brooks.

WT vs Newcastle.

I reckon there is no one on the forum that wouldn't have wanted us to keep Hastings at 7, and let Brooks go to Newcastle (or where ever).
Swap Brooks for Hastings that round 2 game and I see us winning. Hands down winning.

Anyone else not see an improved Tigers with Hastings at 7 vs Brooks at 7?

We will never know for sure if we win or lose, we can only speculate.
We lost, we didn’t take our chances. We dropped one over the line, we get pulled up for a bad defensive read by the knights. Regardless of the score brooks was one of the better players on the park last Sunday. Imo brooks outplayed Hastings everywhere except the scoreboard.
No matter how much we jump up and down nothing is going to change the fact that brooks is here for this year at least and that Hastings is gone.
But imo Hastings is a bigger dud than brooks

Earl I know what you have been saying about Luke and he will be better as the weeks progress,I have no argument with that,however we must draw the line on comparing Madden's games to Luke's ,Jock was an honest ressie player who did his best...he was on far smaller money and wasn't hyped up as much as Luke...I liked Jock because he tried his best with limited ability compared to Luke...

I’ll put my hand up here. I mentioned the games with Jock. It wasn’t to have a dig, it was more when I started to notice that Brooks was given a secondary role in the team. I thought it was quite clear when he was partnered with Madden and then was confirmed when Hastings returned and was named at 7.

Brooks has a nice crisp half back pass to the second receiver (AD) which puts him in space to create. If you watch AD tries or assists its off a LB pass. Needs to be more often tho.

Are you female and have we slept together. My wife does the same thing. I say one thing and she twists it into something else.

I'm not giving Sheens 2 rounds. I've said in multiple posts on this forum it's 2 weeks in. There is plenty of time this season and I think he is here for the next 2 years.

2. Paws has been talking up Sheens big time all off season.
3. There is nothing there about sacking the coach so you made it up or exactly as I stated twisted my words.

They are simply two different personality types, which gives the impression that one is better suited to the 7.
Good coaches recruit skills.
We were outplayed across the park, because we didn’t take our opportunities.

best player for failing to orchestrate a single overlap against 12 men for 25 minutes? for constantly passing 0.5m behind his outside man and running around in circles. Beats me how a half in a losing side against 12 men over 25mins can be considered the best player

I think we got beat because we made to many fundamental errors,which in turn broke down our plays and momentum....the team couldnt recoup because of the rolling error rate....

Correct. Those errors came at the most opportune times. The one that sticks in my mind is Twaly dropping the ball when he was over the line.

Correct. Any player for that matter can’t possibly get a Dally M if the team wins only 2 or 3 games.

You’re right.
Brooks was our worst player.. by far.
