It’s a dumb argument comparing him to Hastings. If we are doing that let’s compare him to Johns.
Judge him here on his own merit rather than trying to find feeble excuses.

I've seen Benji get lapped by more than 50 a bunch of times, In a bunch of different teams - Over a very long time... Looking as dis-interested as [This word has been automatically removed], And doing absolutely nothing.

The only people comparing Brooks to Benji - Are the Brooks haters... In 120 years,
There's been one Benji. Yes, He's capable than much more than Brooks
- But got results from it less than 50% of the time, In our colours anyway....

He had far more talent, A much better side - But did as many shit things...
If that play had of pulled off last night ands we scored - Brooks would be bagged for something else....

It's not dumb because the alternatives we have are worse than him.

If it's a choice between Brooks and a prime Andrew Johns I'll pick Johns. I'd have Johns over every player in the history of the game though.

The big issue is Doueihi isn't stepping up. I want Doueihi at 6 but he has been ordinary in his 3 games back.

It's also not a dumb comment - There's been more than once where Hastings has been caught trying to get to a kick and just dropping the ball....
He needs to realise (Fast) This isn't the UK - He won't have those 3 extra steps here...
Especially when he takes as long as he does to take them.

I’ve kept quiet for a while. Haven’t banged on for a while. Tried to contribute less to this toxic topic. This attack is a good example of why. I didn’t start the comparison to Benji.

As long as you’re attacking I’ll defend.
Because anyone making excuses for Brooks now is really only doing so in a vain attempt to save face, being so wrong all these years. It’s immature, transparent and affects your credibility - besides opening yourself up to question re whether you want the Tigers to succeed at all.

IMO if you are still genuinely a Brooks fan (Lord knows how that’s possible) and still want him here, then mate you are a Brooks fan first and a Tigers fan second.

Statements people here make like: “I hope he succeeds at another club”.
Why? Who cares? It’s not like he has been good enough for us to warrant this benevolence. And why would we want another club to succeed at our expense?

I honestly don’t get these statements and they just show that the love for Brooks is out of whack.

You confuse fandom with reality, Because you can't assess anything logically or without your hate for the player for whatever reason.
- Based on last nights game... Luke Brooks is the best half at the club.

As much as you hate it, That's how it stands at the moment.
Until that is no longer the case... Then he's first picked.

Some of us understand that it’s much more complicated than some others think. Your halfback is important, so is your five eighth. But in a shit team in the toughest rugby league premiership in the world, it’s a hiding to nothing. You’ve seen it this year with Hastings too. It’s f$&@ing obvious.

I respect Brooks for his loyalty to WT and wish him well elsewhere.

It's a shame this isn't so obvious to you as it is the the rest of the world, comp, coaching staff and such....

Madden is Dross - Which is why he's in lower grades still.
