For the 2022 season, The WT have scored more tries on the left edge 48% (middle 19%) and (right edge 33%)

And the WT have conceded more (43%) on the left edge, (middle 29%) and the right edge 29%.

although they are interesting to look at, i honestly don't trust them very much as a guide, because when you compare players and teams sometimes the stats show little differences between them which contradicts how we see and feel about.the teams strengths and weaknesses.

What you provide didn't highlight Brooks being a good defensive half at all.

Brooks career average missed tackle ratio is sitting at 18.76% (3800 attempts, missed 713), if he plays 4 more seasons (avg 70 a season) he is on track for being the 1st halfback to miss 1000 tackles on his current run rate in the history of the game.

2022 ratio of missed tackles is at 15% (454 attempts, 70 missed)
2021 ratio was 14% (532 attempts, 76 missed)

You mentioned Cleary, his ratio is 12% from 2693 attempts, missed 329 for his career in 50 less games. Based on tackle aggregates when Cleary plays the same amount of games Brooks has played he would of only made 200 less tackle attempts than Brooks and missed 449 tackles (264 less)

I'm yet to see you provide any evidence in your stats that indicates he is a good defensive halfback

I think Brooks is one of the few in this side who consistently displays effort in defense. It is his role of managing the teams attack that is missing. Can he get better at that, I guess that's up to Tim Sheens. You do realize though that defense is a team thing and what the defenders do inside and on your outside of you affects your ability to make your defensive decision and if it is successful or not. This is not part of any stats to my knowledge.

If you look at those stats and you dont see a difference, then i cant help the fact that you are a person of little knowledge of the game yourself, do you know why they keep stats, you had better contact the nrl & tell them all those statistics they keep, dont mean a thing. I always thought it was to be able to check players performances.

With respect Dennis rugby league clubs have their own statistician they don't use the NRL stats these stats are for us punters. Anyway mate there is more to analyzing tackle stats than just counting takles made and takles missed. Such things as one on one, putting the player on the ground, winning the contact, number in the takle and most importantly what you do off the ball in defense. Cheers

Well put. Also the best sides in the Comp hope their playmakers make the least tackles because they usually ask their backrowers to protect their most valuable assets. Back row is our single weakest position and it has been for many years.
