It appears at least new coach Benji can see what a lot of us can and is not overly interested in keeping Brooks. Thank God we now have someone with some common sense. If you can dissociate his footy from his personality (I’ve seen many times how he belittles his team mates on the field) then he would be probably be our best player. Sign him up.

But

He dishonored his contract and the club by blatantly tanking on the field (horribly more obvious IMO than any other player has). He walked out on his team mates. Perhaps that’s why benji relates to him? Similar personalities?

Who ever is pushing these ideas (factions of the board?) are are enabling a toxic culture to re emerge. Boys clubs and split dressing rooms etc. it’s ok to spit on the club. We’ll welcome you back later.

We didn’t let any of them walk. We did everything we could to try and retain them. You can’t hold guns to their heads.

His flaws are much worse than most believe (or ignored.)

The club should put him in reserve grade for 6 weeks. The FG side will keep losing and he will dominate reggies and we will know that he is actually just a decent player on a shit team.
