Doueihi might not even have a future. Everyone throwing these grand plans for him in the halves when he just needs to get back on the field before anything,

I have the same reaction when i see men in their 30’s typing and talking like they are still in their mid teens. Whatever brings em happiness.
 
I think some of you guys get a bit emotionally attached to some of these NRL stars so to speak...eg Demps creams his pants over anyone with Lebo bloodlines,others have stuck by Brooks since his debut,some sit on the fence and wait and see.myself I think Hastings will be very good for us...
The whole positional thing lies squarely on the player(s) who are performing and training well.the ones who will benefit the team on a week to week basis,this is a performanced based business the ones who dont perform will be left wondering who will come and rescue their careers....they are the ones who have to now perform,especially since we have had a change throughout the organisation...I hope AD,Brooks,Hastings all contribute during the year ...only Madge and co will know the true form of the squad at hand and hopefully make the right decisions for the team and club going forward...time will tell...

Brooks has had a thousand chances to take control of this team .. his problem is that he is not a talker out there .. look at most #7s out there, they are talking their heads off directing players in position, or talking up the next play .. you have to be a gob-a-tron and talk your guts outs to take control of a team .. unfortunately Brooks just doesnt have it in him.

Recently, when Madge was asked about the Brooks’ story, he replied..” ..let’s just let his football do the talking shall we” or words to that affect.
 
interesting comments from Matthew Johns on SEN radio this morning in relation to Brooks
Apparently Newcastle were absolutely certain they had Brooks signed and sealed to replace Pearce, then Brooks had discussions with Sheens and stayed with Tigers.
Johns was of the opinion Madge would likely not be coaching us in 2023
