Good idea.
Club should decide who they want to keep as our first choice hooker out of Liddle and Simpkin (most likely Simpkin as he is younger and has more upside IMO) and cut the other one loose. Brooks can be the interchange hooker, only being brought on in the halves if injury strikes during a match.

It is group think based around a media bias that suggests halfbacks solely control the destiny of their teams.

I stated he was a competent NRL half - that is not incorrect and you have confirmed it in your reply above.

Tigers have had several halves who were not competent at NRL level: Jack Littlejohn - Ben Reynolds - Jacob Miller - Braith Anasta - Jordan Rankin - Tyson Gamble etc.

Brooks is evidently not in that category!!

As a halfback in the NRL he's not competent. Hence he's he holds the record of most club games without a finals appearance in the sport's history

Tyson Gamble had one opportunity with WT to be fair. A pummeling where the whole team were crud.

Braith Anasta played origin. He was definitely a competent NRL player. He was bad for us though. Tyson Gamble wasn't given an opportunity. Last year at the Broncos I believe he played at a higher level than Brooks did
 
Other clubs are keen on him, just look at the Knights. Our club almost had to put an AVO out against them they were that obsessed. Halfbacks that suck do not play almost 200 games. They get found out very early and are never heard from again. People just expect more than he’s capable of. That’s the crux of it.

Braith was no longer a comptetent half when we signed him... did you happen to watch any of his games in Tigers colours?

Gamble got a run in the worst Broncos team of all time as a 25 year old...

And his next opportunity came two years later for a desperate Broncos team - he has shown nothing in his 16 NRL games at 25 years of age to suggest he is an NRL player
 
His support cast at the Broncos in those losses included players Brooks could only dream of playing with at the Tigers:

Payne Haas
Tevita Pangai Jr
Herbie Farnsworth
Xavier Coates

The number of games he played?
Your extensive knowledge from being a first grader?

He doesn't even hit the pass mark with games won.
Never played a finals game.

Your undying love of a player rebukes any form of negativity towards his career of mediocrity?
