What you have to ask yourself with the players we have signed is, would other clubs want them? Peachy didn’t have a contract, and probably would have either retired or gone to England. Hastings and Gildart, I couldn’t see Gildart starting for any other club in round 1, which shows how weak we are in the centres. And Hastings was the man of steel. But so was Sam Tomkins.
