Can I ask on what grounds do people here justify a punch during a game?

It was beautiful. The look on Gagai's face was priceless. Hope Brooks throws them more often, and I will send him a list of most punchable heads in league. He ticked one out of the top ten.

Everyone says he's a cat/nice guy/too quiet, he gives a renowned jerk some and now he's too lively. Never going to keep everyone happy.

It wasn't a dog shot, it was provoked and Gagai deserved what he got.

Yes he would have! And talking about half backs.. I think the ref could have sent Reynolds to the bin for rag dolling Brooksy and slipping in a few short arm jabs to the head. Let’s be clear, Brooks did not throw the first punch, but he knew the ref would do nothing about it so he took matters into his own hands.

Hope we do 2 things now:
1. Huge brawl against the storm, Harry has no choice but to tear off Papenhuyzen's ear and it gets too awkward for him to go back.
2. Brooks pulls out a step ladder and tests out whatsthemattersons jaw. Then Moses puts a late shot on LL and BJ comes in from nowhere, bites his nose off, rips an arm off, knocks out Brown with it and goes up to the Parra mascot and yells "why do you look like a sperm" before decking him too.

Only problem I have with the punch was, that it was not on that smug Walker's chin and twice as hard.

Souths winger Dane Gagai and Wests Tigers halfback Luke Brooks are facing a two-match ban after being charged for striking during the melee involving players from both teams on Thursday night at Bankwest Stadium.

Each player has been handed a grade-one striking offence but can halve their suspension with an early guilty plea.

Gagai and Brooks were sin-binned for their part in the 51st-minute incident.

Tigers lock Alex Twal, who coincidentally was also sent to the sin bin for a professional foul a few minutes earlier, has been charged with grade-one dangerous contact for a 41st-minute incident involving Rabbitohs prop Mark Nicholls.

Twal is facing a one-match ban but can escape suspension with an early guilty plea.

Would have been fantastic had Twal not been in the bin at the time, arguably that probably cost us the game. What was going through Twal's head at the time he got binned is beyond me he must have know that was going to happen.

I dont care that Luke stuck up for himself and let Gagai know he wasnt going to get away with his garbage...good on Brooks...We lost the game ,but we gained a heck of a lot of self esteem and Tiger fight thats been missing for quite awhile,the Wests/Balmain boys that have long passed ,would have been looking down on our boys the last couple of weeks and smiling quite intently..
