Luke Brooks undecided on future. Admits he could leave Tigers

It should only take one TPA drop from a Harry type to get us really rolling.

The game is packed to the rafters with aging spines. If we can keep them together, the players will come, and at a price in our favour to play off their combination.

The kind of success that should bring will breed its own fair weather sponsorships. As they say, a rolling stone gathers no moss.

It can't be all about money. Of course player managers try to get as much as they for their clients (and therefore themselves) but in the end the decision of where a player wants to play probably rests on other factors unless the player is near the end of their career or are offered way, way above what they might actually be worth in market terms. If I'm Mitch or Luke I don't want to play the next 3 years at a club I think wont have much chance of finals footy. If I have 12 years in the game I want the majority of them to be successful ones, ones that'll give me some great memories down the track. So I guess it'll come down to whether or not they believe the club is heading in the right direction, if they believe the club will be successful in the very near future. So if the team can continue winning it'll make their decision a lot easier.

If the club is going to be a force in the near future it comes down to these 2 so the choice is to stay and be the guys that build the success or go to a stronger club and be handed it.

We are going to have to pay overs to keep both but they know we are desperate they will cost 700k each.

If they keep up their current form for the next 6 weeks, I'd sign them up on that figure in a heartbeat and consider it a bargain.

Brooks and Moses on $700k each for 4 years and extend Teddy's contract for another 3 years with a $200k increase if they have to (puts him on $800k a year which is also a bargain). What ever it takes, they have to make it happen. They are the future.

If they want memberships to double, this is what they have to announce in one big announcement, coming off a good win. Wow, now that would be something. 😛ray:

The bulldogs are thinking of making a shock bid for Wests halfback Luke Brooks for next season, Brooks is on a long term deal with the tigers but I can reveal that bulldogs coach Des Hasler has been looking at the possibility of sneaking under the joint venutues guard and pinching the 21 year old playmaker…

That Lurker is such a peanut.

How can Dogs possibly "sneak under" our guard when there's been ongoing Luke Brooks contract talks for the past 6 months. Like he's gonna sign with them without giving us a right of reply!

Basically it's money. There is no "sneaking under", there is driving a big truck full of pineapples up to Luke Brooks' house and hoping there is not already someone else's bigger truck parked out front.

Agree but the three Moses, Brooks, Teddy need to be paid big but some sacrifice will help the squad around them.

I'm not sure they'd be handed anything if they went to, what they might perceive to be, a stronger club, they'd still have to work for any success that comes their way. But I agree that they could play a huge part in helping this club achieve something very special in the coming years if they chose to stay.

Well, yeah…or they could perhaps just go for a back ended deal. They seem to work quite well.

Set of Six: Let's hope money doesn't break up Luke Brooks, Mitchell Moses and James Tedesco

Luke Brooks, Mitchell Moses and James Tedesco again showed their brilliance against the Manly Sea Eagles on Monday night. The skill, speed and flair of these young players is a joy to watch and the combination they are forming is a dangerous one indeed.

How sad it will be for Tigers fans and for the game in general if this talented trio should ever be broken up because of salary cap and/or opportunity. I would also hope that these three lads understand that while money is important to a professional footballer, it is not the be all and end all of life.

By remaining together for the rest of their careers at the club that gave them their first opportunity, these youngsters could achieve something really special. If that means earning a few dollars less each year to ensure they have other quality players around them, then it's a small sacrifice to make.

If they are successful, the money will come in other ways. Changing clubs just to go to the highest bidder is not all it's cracked up to be.

Sure, it's up to Tigers management to understand the importance of these three boys as a combination and find the necessary funds to keep them together. But someone also has to explain to the boys the value of sticking together over time.

Hardly the words of a man trying to sign one of these boys up. So I guess that can put to bed the rumours of Moses going to Penrith or anywhere else for that case, considering the rumours are all coming from the same source who obviously has no idea.

On the article itself, it's nice to have on one of the greatest minds in rugby league commenting on these three and providing such a positive outlook for the boys and club. Really makes me proud knowing that the next generation of superstars or 'big three' could indeed be playing in our colours week-in-week-out and possibly even playing for my state and country in the near future.

Before it was just us talking them up now it's the whole rugby league world, which makes it so real and exciting. I pray that the hype doesn't get to these boys and that all three can keep their feet grounded and heads to the task because if they stay healthy and together they could be anything !

If they all re-sign with the club, the next 4-5 years could be a very exciting time to be a Wests Tigers supporter. All those years of pain and suffering could be a long, distant memory 😛ray:

Any leads on a big truck?

Story today in the tele about Teddy, he said "he is enjoying being able to play the way they want to, with Brooks and Moses".
Said " he will try and convince his mates to stay at the club", obviously the style of play they are playing this year will help, because the style they were forced to play last year would have pushed them out the door if it continued.

Yet Sterlo comes out and says the structure hasn't changed from the back end of 2015 just doing it better on the back of a dominate forward pack…go figure...

Gave credit to Taylor...

Hooper on NRL tonight also stated the Wests Tigers will retain both halves...what a difference a couple of wins make...

Sterlo's wrong. Everyone on here is saying its players running the show now, that Taylor back down.

Hmmm wait a minute. Who is better qualified to judge? Hmmmm.

The Lurker along with these Facebook pages are morons. If you're going to make up a rumour at least make one that makes sense.
Panther already have Soward, Wallace, Moylan and Martin
Dogs already have Reynolds and Mbye.

I would be more inclined to believe something like Moses to Titans.

Wallace and Soward won't be there next yr. At least Wallace won't anyway. Infact Wallace probably won't even make it to the end of the yr. Soon as Seggy gets back i think Wallace will be the one to make way for him with Martin coming into the halves.

The Dogs, well Reynolds is one of the most overrated players in the comp. He would most likely be moved on at the expense of Brooks.
