Just wondering for people that have seen his games in NSW cup how he has went against players a lot older than him? I have seen him in NYC and he looks great but what about players that aren't the same age? Would be great to see him get some NRL games before end of season but that seems unlikely.

great post. i have seen very little of him (in WA) but hear so much about him.

would be great to get some opinions from people who have actually seen him play.

Slightly more subdued, less flashes of individual brilliance in terms of his running game. passing still great, kicking could use more work. NSW Cup seems to revolve more around the physical aspect of NRL than the finer points such as pinpoint kicking game or at least the Tigers do which is all i've ever seen in that grade.

Well he is only young all that other stuff will come in time, just remember that cause he isn't going to make the tigers a top 4 side next year so expect another lean year in 2014

i live on the gold coast and have never seen him play i work weekend afternoon's i hear all the wraps about brook's and moses, is there anyone who knows a link to maybe a youtube clip or something. Thanks in advance.

Well tonight was my first real viewing of Brooks and might I say was totally underwhelmed ,this fella will not be playing regular NRL next season .IMO he is still a full season away 2015 has a good boot and doesn't mind getting dirty but as the next big thing ..maybe had an off night!

Tonight was not one of his better game in u20s,for the teams no1 playmaker he drifted in and out of the game all night. One set he did not touch the ball, but in saying that I saw enough of him to convince me he should be playing no7 in the top grade now.His long kicking game is amazing and I would say he has the biggest boot since Sticky Stuart.

Mitchell Moses on the other hand would physically get murdered in the top grade, but if he can bulk up in the next few years will be a beauty

I was told by another Tigers supporter today that both Brooks and Moses have re signed

Is this true , have read nothing yet ??

All the wraps on these fellas, alot of pressure and they haven't even played a 1st grade side. Getting a great forward pack will make the transition easier.

I hope his manager can see the bigger picture. Every dollar Brooks takes now reduces the chance he will make it.

Simple fact is that the Tiges halves are going to look average until our forward pack improves. Every dollar Brooks takes above a reasonable pay for an 18 year old means less to build a dominate pack with.

Andrew Johns emerged behind a very strong pack. The chief and others consistently created time for Johns. Brooks should look at the bigger picture! An extra 200k now means the difference of a few seconds every set as he plays. Brooks making / running a play after a 400-500k second rower punches a hole into the opposition defence will be very different to making a play happen after a 200k second rower gets dominated in by the defence.

His future is in his hands right now. Good decisions early in a career make a career. It's like a apprentice vs a labourer.

Didn't Brooks play 1st grade in the trials,I thought he did and went ok.

I don't remember that…anyone else recall brooksie in the 1st grade trials?

Yes he was.

It was a NSW cup trial but Penrith had several FG players in their team like Coote and Roberts.

Oh that one, yeah i remember that. Wasn't really a 1st grade trial though… NYC/NSW Cup largely. I only counted the eels and chooks games as 1st grade trials.
